So general is releasing these

in a variety of sizes. They did a huge test with these General Tire Launches New Grabber X3 - race-deZert.com . Curious what you guys think. I know a lot of people on here (myself included) love the at2. I've gotten local quotes of about $255, installed myself with about $125 shipping. I don't mind being a guinea pig but that's steep considering I don't do a lot of rock crawling. Also my worry is snow capabilities. Thoughts?

I was really interested in them, thought about ditching my KO2s as they suck in the mud, but I need something snow rated/capable and there is not one word about snow or even cold weather driving. Once I see something about that I may be more on board.

I am of the same opinion. It's a necessity for snow and ice, as I live in NH. But they look so so nice.

If youre looking for something more aggressive in the mud and winter rated look at the cooper ST Maxx or the Treadwright guard dogs. I ran the ST Maxx's and they are my favorite tire hands down, they are a hybrid like the duratracs just a whole lot tougher. they are also pretty cheap for a 285/70r17 sized tire and smaller. i ran them for 35K miles and then sold them to a buddy when i went to my 35x12.50r17 Guard dogs.

The guard dogs are also a great tire. They are an alteration of the original Goodyear MTR, they are more aggressive than the Coopers but very good on the road, they are also winter rated tires. Now they are a remolded tire, how ever they have very little issues and stand behind their products. I've been running these tires for the past 10K miles and wheeled the piss out of them with zero issues, they even hold up better than all the other tires i've ran in the rocks. Overall a very good tire for an amazing price with free shipping.
