Dodge Durango 100k miles =$150 in repairs, Infiniti G20, I30, Q45, Murano: over 500k miles, never go stranded on the road. Got all these cars from Fields dealership. Best service, no 'Toyota experience'. Very helpful service! Can not understand bigoted comments on this forum. Yeah, I kind of glad I did the only thing I liked that's only on the trail is the shift lever and the center display. I am going to install a air locker in a few years and the atrac is almost as good.

I just wanted the manual 4WD shifter and the KDSS but maybe I could live without them.

Hey buddy, you're not the only immigrant who worked hard and made good.

As someone who came to a new land and made a home, you must know his - you don't go to someone's house and shit all offer it. Same goes for an Internet forum.

Yotas aren't perfect. And I tend to agree that Yota dealers seem to be pretty arrogant (and that's coming from a guy who's bought German and British Marques exclusively for the past 15 years). But that's besides the point.

We're here because we have something in common. We've learned to appreciate the truck. If you want to disagree based on a single experience with a dealer, so be it. We say it's your loss.

If you want a dealer experience that's all about stroking your massive ego erection, I can recommend BMW or Audi. I guarantee you that you'll feel much more recognized for your awesome household income and realizing the American dream.

fyi It was not Arlington toyota, but schaumburg toyota gave me this gem of a response 'Toyota does not do 10k mile leases. Also to make this easy and save you and me some time since you are also very busy due to your business schedule, bring your best quote that you have received in that 300 mile radius, and i will be more than happy to beat that quote.

Not all of us are like the keyboard snipers you ran into. This board in particular has a pretty nasty nest. Need to let the comments go. I suspect that if you met these people in person, lack the character to speak the way they write. In the real world, they wouldn't last too long, especially with the crowd I call friends.

I've had two T4R's and between rest of family had eight in the past 20 years. They are solid vehicles. I was the second owner of my 05. Ran great and was tight without any rattles, leaks and body damage. 18 months later, sold to my nephew with 130K on it and still ran and looked Great. Now have 2014 Trail and love it. Not the fastest softest riding vehicle out there, but its solid as a rock. I intend to keep this a long time. My experience is typical with all the runners our family has owned through the years. My advice is don't let one bad dealer or jerks on the board taint your process for making the best decision for you.

This is why I wanted a 4runner, a truck that I could keep for 10+years and give to my nephew (5 now) when he is 16! All the research and keep coming back to same conclusion: 4Runner

You said something negative about Toyota. That gets people here excited and on the offense. It's not exactly right, but it is the mob mentality playground politics that take place on a vehicle specific forum.

If you would have come on and said. I love the 4runner... everyone would have been telling you what a smart guy you are for buying one and given you plenty of solid advice.

You are not helping yourself by ranting... I doubt anyone here is on welfare... and in case you did not know, most Americans consider it extremely inappropriate to talk about your income (nobody cares). Education is another area that you should not bring up unless it is relative to the conversation at hand.

Car dealers are generally scam artist (it is a well known fact). There are a few good ones, but they are few and far between. You should first figure out what you want, then educate yourself on how to get a good deal and then go from there.

Good luck and try dialing back you intensity a few notches. It will make things much easier.

I was set on the TE also but screw paying 37-42 over the 32 I walked out with on mine, and after I read some of them post on here about KDSS problems it looked like more of a head ache them it's worth.

The funny part is that this same dealership send me a quote for new 2015 T4R Limited for ~41.5k

There are plenty of ways to get quotes. Did you try Costco as suggested? How about TrueCar or other internet method? I still think you should take the Jeep since they'll give it to you for as long as you want!
