We (my daughter) has a Distributor problem on an early '90's 4runner that has kept 3 shops busy besides myself, won't start or run, eliminated the ignitor, distributor and computer as problems and it now appears that the Distributor loses the Crank Signal when it (or another) distributor is installed, but it works fine out of the car! Anyone out there seen this type of problem before? It has now been guessed to be some type of ground fault, but it is really stumping some decent to very good mechanics who have never run across this type of problem - ever! Any ideas or experience appreciated!
