ditched the running boards

Decided to ditch my running boards last night. Man it looks like I lifted the truck! I like it a lot better but the wife liked it better with running boards. What do yall think?

Tell the wife sorry, but you got $40 for them on Craig's and split it with her and she'll be happy - works every time and you get your way for $20, well worth the price to avoid an argument.

While I am not a fan of the running boards, I'm going to go against the general consensus and say that I think the lines of the truck look off without sliders or running boards with the stock bumper.

It's that lower plastic valance on the front bumper that throws me off, the way it hangs down lower than the body. So I say either go with an aftermarket front bumper, sliders, or both. And get some mud guards for the front or you'll be spraying shit everywhere you don't want it to be. I will write a note to give to your wife that states that these components are necessary for your vehicle to operate.

Im with you. I prefer the factory board be gone too. I had to strike a compromise tho. The women folk wanted the step to get in. So I bought some nerf bars. I got the look I wanted and they got their stup step to get in.

I secretly wanted the nerf bars all along but the wife wouldnt go for it if I just made the swap from the get go.

I also wanted to protect the rockers from stom chips and added Monstaliner across the bottom. WIN WIN

Yes I just cut the front part of the running board.

I do agree that rock sliders would look good, that may come later. I really want to add an ARB bumper first.

Looking good. Your rig is the same as mine white with flares and running boards, sr5. Im in the process of getting my sliders put togethrt and on.

Really dig your white runner... Kinda wish mine was white instead of black.

What size rims are those? 15 or 16?
