DIY sliding style disconnects

Has anybody seen this thread over on the FJ forum:

Looks like some people have been building their own sliding style sway bar disconnect. Looks cool, though I'm not sure its worth the hassle compared to just an adjustable sway bar end link.

While I know a lot of people on this forum just run with no sway bar, my past experiences take that option off the table for me lol.

I had never seen this, but no front SB for me. I wonder if this would work on the rears? The bottom sliding portion?
