Any second thoughts on the wheels spacers in front with the bite, or lack there of, with the nuts holding them on? I have the same ones and can't muster the courage to run them with so little bite. I've ordered longer lug nuts, but haven't gotten them yet. You rig looks good by the way too.

No second thoughts. I grabbed the ET nuts with mine, and wouldn't run them without. I used loctite, did an initial torque, then checked torque 5lbs under my initial torque to make sure none of them backed off.

Made some more progress on the roof rack today. I decided I wanted a flat, slim line rack instead of one with sides. So I chopped it off, and gave it a bit of a bend to follow the roof line.
I also made my the mounting brackets. All I had to make the brackets was 1/4" steel plate, so they're kinda overkill. But very sturdy! Did a test fit to make sure all was well, then started putting on the expanded metal. It's now mostly tacked in place, should get the rest done tomorrow.

While the paint on my roof rack cured, I decided to install my Bud Built hidden winch and Runva 11XP-S.
-11,000lbs single line pull
-Synthetic line included
-6.5hp fully sealed motor
-230:1 gear reduction
-Wireless remote included
Started by ripping the bumper and crossmember off, and doing a test fit.
Knowing I would need to clock clutch housing, I went ahead and did that. It was pretty straight forward.
I thought I might have to build a bracket for the solenoid box, however, it seemed to just barely fit! I think this might be due to my 1" body lift.

Thanks man. Hoping the paint on it cures a bit better. It's still really soft right now... I can scratch it with my fingernail. It's been getting more tough every day though, hoping it'll be fully cured in another week or so.
Next project is going to be sliders. Then I'll feel a lot more comfortable off road.

Grinded my welds, flappy disk on the rough spots to smooth it out, then a quick once over with the wire wheel. Followed by a degreaser bath and pressure wash, let completely dry. Then a wipe down with methyl hydrate to remove any remaining grease or crap.
I then used a water based primer that is specifically made for galvanized (since I used EMT for the outer piece). Gave that 24hrs to cure, and then did 3 coats of Tremclad flat black.
Fortunately, it's getting tougher every day. I've read that tremclad can take weeks to properly cure. I may have layed it on a bit thick, so that's probably why.

Your T4R is looking killer my friend. I've been eying the bud built kit, but it's a luxury I can't afford or justify to the boss (lol). Your stance is looking great too.

Thanks! I scored the mounting plate from a guy in the 4th Gen for sale thread. I also grabbed the winch from Costco. Total cost installed for winch and mounting plate was about $1000 CAD.
DRL, it's a Canadian requirement.
Hmmm. Just had to trim the bumper and grill in a couple different places. But nothing to crazy.

Really digging the hidden winch too. Can't really justify a front bumper right now, but would really like a winch for solo trips and the budbuilt looks like a solid option.
All in all, how hard of an install is it? Do you just pull the front bumper and crossmember, bolt it all up, clock the winch and put it all back? If so, that actually seems pretty easy!

Actually, it was one of the easiest things I've done on my 4Runner.
You'll need to do some cutting, some thinking, some more cutting, and maybe some thinking. It all depends on your winch setup, too. Some have to relocate the solenoid box, but I didn't. That was definitely due to having a body lift though.
I, too, decided to stick with my bumper for a few reasons. I really didn't want the added weight, and didn't want to see yet another MPG drop. I do a lot of long road trips in my rig, so MPG is important.
