Okay so a little back story and try to bring this thread up to the present.

I had a previous 4runner before this one, it was a 99 limited 2wd. I had a spacer lift and some at tires but at the end of the day it was a 2wd, and i really wanted a 4wd. So i sold that guy and had a few other cars but always missed my 3rd gen, so when my mother told me one of of neighbors was selling his I was intrigued, test drove it and purchased it march 2015.

this was the day that i bought it.

I painted the center caps and removed the running boards pretty quickly. I knew i wanted to mod it, and its been pretty fun ever since.

Took the wife and dog on a little exploring near Mammoth Lakes

I installed a external trans cooler to avoid the pink milk shake, picked up some used fabtech/fox coil overs to rebuild, also got 8 wraps and some other fun stuff.

I rebuilt the coilovers but they have since failed at keeping charge :(. Later I purchased prospectators ODL bumper that has a custom skid that he fabbed up with PATCO i think. I did the satoshi grill mod and mounted a led bar behind the grill. hmmm what else have i done, installed a double din pioneer, led in the interior, eagle eye leds mounted in the rear hatch. More stuff to come, Kings should be getting installed next week, along with a few other things.

my buddy Nick helping me with the bumper install.

Many thanks to all you guys on here that bring such heaps of information that helps keep this thing going!!!! More content to come:banana:

Managed to get some parts installed over the weekend. The rear end was really unstable so i had it parked for a few weeks while i waited for parts to come in. I ditched the cheapo blue monroe rear shocks for some of the LC black tokico. Also installed an adjustable panhard bar from Sonoran Steel and removed the toytec panhard drop bracket. Lastly I installed some daystar bumps on extended brackets made of 2.5x3.5 tubing. So far the handling is much more stable.

I have the same color and trim combo on my 2000. I wasn't sure if I'd like the look of removing the running boards. I like how it appears with other colors but I hadn't seen any with this color combination. You've settled my concerns, those running boards are coming off!!

Looks great man!
