Hi all, I had a little too much fun in the country with dirt, mud and water, not sure if I have a hydro locked motor or whatever its called.

I pulled all the plugs out, turned it over and no water came out, also did an oil change.

Currently the truck turns over and runs like a diesel (knocking) and spews out white smoke, my auto shop tells me that I need a new motor.

Anyone have any ideas before I spend a few k ? Much appreciated.

What happened all of a sudden? Did the engine overheat and stall out or did it develop a knock?I would think to pull the heads first, maye be the knocking is from water getting into the combustion chamber hopefully. Just guessing.

remove all sparkplugs, crank the engine and this should blow out any water/gunk out of each cylinder. Look up youtube vids on this to get some ideas.

Yep, my boy sourced the motor & all parts, around $5k including fixing the bumper and putting in new fogs, hids and led (high beam)

Oof. Doesn't sound like you hydrolocked it, FWIW. I hydrolocked my 3000GT and, as it sounds, it literally locks the engine. Usually bends a rod and then won't turn an inch.

Yep, it wasnt hydrolocked, no water came out. Not really sure what it is but I will take apart the motor and rebuild it, eventually.
