Do the front cup holders have lights?

I've read posts on this regarding the lights at the bottom of the front cup holders. The console was removed during the stereo install last year so maybe they were disconnected? I think the chances of both lights going would me small.

Has anyone successfully accessed these? Thanks very much.

There are two rectanglular lights in the cup holders. I would check the bulbs first. I am not sure if those lights have their own seperate connections or if it works off the same plug as the hvac lights. I could have told you earlier as I just changed some of my hvac lights. Sorry.

HVAC lights...interesting. I replaced a couple of those as well. Do you mean the ones that light up the LCD panel?

If so maybe I messed up something when I did that.

Thx

My t4r is just an Sr5 and it has the cup holder lights. They are the same orange color as the ac digital display so I can only assume they used the same bulbs. Carl, I do mean the ones that light up the ac digital display. The more I think about it I doubt they are connected to the same connector as the ac display lights.

There are lights in the cup holder, when I wired my rear dvd system I took out the center console. There was a wire not connected that went to those very lights. I pluged it in and what do you know, little orange lights. Was like that from the factory.

Yes. Part # is:

81205‑35010

It is an assembly with wire, a connector on one end, and a bulb on the opposite end. The single bulb lights both of the cup holders. The console pulls apart very easily. Fishing the wire from the connector to the cup holder is a bit of a challenge, but I'd say I had the entire task done in half an hour.

imo, those stock cupholder lights are almost useless, i suggest splicing in a set of cheap leds.

I like your idea chaz! Maybe a different color from the dull orange the rest of the lights are on the dash. I'm really thinking about switching out leds all over the dash to get some spice into the interior. Any chance you could give us a write up or advice as to how to splice them in to the cupholder? Im a bit of a electrical ****...kinda funny as I work at a power plant!

just drilled holes in the cup separator, mounted led's & spliced into the 12v socket in the center console for lights & switch, very easy. i used these leds, very bright http://www.oznium.com/prewired-superflux theres a few photos of installed lights on link, looks kinda cool with/without water bottles in holders.
