Do you drive with a gun?

I don't, but the only reason I haven't is because the only handgun I have is a .44 mag revolver. Just never thought about buying another one. I have more than one shotgun and rifle though. Might be a hunter thing?

I also carry recovery gear, a trauma kit, and a fire extinguisher in my T4R. Oh Yeah, and I have insurance.
I don't carry any of the above because I'm planning to get in an accident or get stuck. I carry those items because bad things do happen, and I believe in being prepared.

always. S&W Shield. the wet okole seat covers come with a nice pocket for it.
although, I have worried/wondered if I should keep one in there when the temps get super freezing cold.

That tide may be turning. I never understood why I could have an M-9 and M-16 in my hands, a mortar system strapped to my pack, and enough ammo to wreak havoc on duty, but a .22 LR could land me in the brig coming through the gate.
Oh, and I carry everywhere legal. There's been a couple times where a pistol came in handy, though I've never had to clear leather.

I completely agree, I've only had to draw once while around town state side but never fired a shot still after carrying for 6 years at this point. I can only hope the law will change regarding bases and active /reserve units.

what do you guys/gals do when you take your vehicle in for service? I took mine in to discount today during my lunch break. I just leave it in the car, while its not super obvious its there...its not completely out of sight. should I be removing it and carrying on me?

At least one gun should be on at all time. That's just reality now a days. I'm fortunate in my country they give carry permits, especially in California.

I NEVER leave it unsecured in the vehicle. I have microsafe that fits in the glove box or under the seats that holds it when not on my body.
Like you said, dressing professionally and carrying isn't always easy or doable. Always properly secure it when not on your person.
