Do you ever get bored with your T4R?

Same here. There are a ton of those in my area. Love that truck. I don't often stare another vehicles but when I do its a Raptor.
My only REAL complaint about my OR is the acceleration. The look, utility, ability, flexibility etc. Love it all. Just wish it had more pick up on the highway. Oh well, she isn't going anywhere and Im not spending 70K on a vehicle again unless its a 67 type 2.

I do, which is why I've had 5 cars in 13 years. I wasn't really bored with my 3rd gen yet but I was tired of fixing it and I got a good deal on my 5th gen. Currently planning on keeping this one and eventually getting a second sportier car to be the "I'm bored let's sell this one" car.

OP you have a great ORV park up there in Hot Springs. I went on it the last time I was there visiting my brother. Stock TRD OR with Michelin SUV (Hwy) Tires aired down to around 27 lbs. We spent about 3 hours on one trail and had a blast. It was a 2 diamond trail, called the Snake I believe. A few areas were quite challenging, I would say more like a 3 diamond. Defiantly bring a friend to spot you.
Every other vehicle out there was a modified Jeep. I think they were surprised to see a stock 4Runner doing the same trails no problem.
For like $30 you can spend a day out there and get some excitement out of your truck. They keep the trails pretty clear. I didn't get any pin striping. They also have air hoses if you need to air back up.

Yea. You don’t get bored with Jeep ownership, you’re too busy fixing stuff. You go broke or are driven to near insanity.. but not bored.

So accurate.. I play golf on Saturday mornings and Sunday evenings with two doctors here in town. One has an 18 silver Raptor, and the other has a 14 black Raptor.

I know I own the right vehicle, when I look back at my 4Runner and when I am walking up to it I say to myself, "damn that's cool." Nice to see I'm not the only 4Runner nerd.
To start a flame war, when I see the Raptors it screams to me, little guy big truck. I appreciate the HP and off road goodies but the look is not for me because it tries too hard.

That's what this forum is for.... A showcase of modifications so your 4Runner doesn't have to look "soccer mom." That in itself should keep you from being bored, it's worked for me. I keep trying to tell myself, "I'm done after this mod" yet I always find something else I want to change. Never been bored with my 4Runner, although have had times where I'm just itching to get it out having fun away from the "soccer mom" and "mall crawler" realm of pavement. Any trip that satisfies that itch just makes me love my 4Runner more.
All that said, I do occasionally miss smashing a clutch and winding my way up through a manual gearbox. I'll probably end up with a fun car as a secondary at some point, but for now I'm still modding and planning excursions!

I like to look back at mine too, but I dont know.. I just am not in love, if that makes sense.
I get compliments on it everywhere I go, but that is mainly because the Runners around here are 100% stock.
Just had it fully detailed this morning, in case I trade it in this weekend. Thing looks better than when I bought it, lol.

Are you keeping the sliders on when you sell or taking them off?

If I sell it outright, probably leave them on.
If I trade, it depends on what the dealer says. If they're going to give me say 26.5 with sliders or 26 without, I will probably leave them on. They're heavy AF and not worth taking off and shipping to someone lol.
I realize the dealer doesnt care about the aftermarket stuff, but sometimes they like to buy the entire rig and sell it as is, as it is more alluring than a basic stock 4Runner.
I had the same feelings from my 2011 & 2016... I finally gave in and bought a 2018 Raptor and could not be happier!
