Just bought an R-Vision Max-Sport 25BH this week. It weighs close to 4k lbs dry, roughly 5k when ready to have fun.
I decided to buy the equalizer hitch to go with it, better be safe than sorry. It does a very good job. With the equalizer well set, I went to a public scale, and guess what, I had a perfect weigh distribution on the truck (2530 lbs on both axels) and almost even on the two axles of the TT (2050 lbs on the FA and 1850 lbs on the RA).
I got a 2008 V8 Limited as a TV. Tows great, beside the 9 mpg at hardly 60 mph.
I wanted to get some pics when I got it but didn't have a camera or my iphone when I had it hitched to the car. And now it is snowing :redbrick:

Wow 9 mpg...that must be rough especially with gas prices in Quebec.
@ OP, there is a recently added "Towing" subforum which may have what your looking for. I personally haven't checked it out yet but it might be a good place to look if you don't have much luck here.

This trailer was about 2800 dry. My 4Runner has the V6. I towed with just a regular hitch and the 4Runner did fine. I got about 13 mpg.
My new trailer actual a year older, no pics. It is about a foot or two longer and just over a foot wider. It weighs almost 3400lbs dry. I did get a equalizer hitch for this one. I haven't towed it yet.

I tow a Coleman Popup. Fully loaded it weighs in at 2500lbs. The 4runner handles it no problem.
I average about 14mpg when towing the trailer.
Don't worry about the gas mileage. You're NOT going to towing the trailer around all summer are you??? I just tow mine on weekends. And I only go at most 3 hours away. Every once in a while we take a long trip (10+ hours). We go camping at least 12 weekends a year. Even if I got only 9mpg..that would be a total loss of about $40 in gas for the summer.

Check the "Towing" section on the forum. It was specifically created for towing questions, and there are pics of rigs there.
I'll be towing a 12ft box popup camper with my V8 Runner.
I had a brake controller installed (since it was prewired with towing package, it was very easy for the install company)....and I can tell a huge difference braking.
I have only towed it to the storage facility thus far (with trip planned for March 23).
I couldn't even tell it was back there. I'm looking forward to exploring Texas with the camper. I can't wait to hit Palo Duro Canyon up in the panhandle.

I wouldn't tow anything over 2000lbs for any distance over a few miles without a trailer brake. Only the real small pop-ups by some of the smaller companies don't come with a trailer brakes. Coleman/Fleetwood had brakes on all their trailers...too bad they're gone now.
If the trailer comes with brakes..then you should take advantage of it.
