Do you regret your two inch lift? How about your 3 inch lift?

I kind of regret my Bilstein 5100's - wish I went with Dobinsons. Probably a better shock for not much more money.

Bilsteins feel really stiff to me. I did lower my PSI to 34-36 and it helped a lot (but is kind of a bandaid...).

Also, my rear is 2.5-3", and I think my shocks overextend sometimes if I go over a bump really quickly. I think a 1.5" might be a happier medium

I’m happy with my 1.75”F 1”R lift. I live in Minnesota. Other than the occasional trip out west, cruising on forest roads and banging around in snow on the lakes, I don’t plan on getting off-road too often. I also drive my 4Runner every day and I plan on keeping it for a long time, the last thing I want to do is make my fuel economy any worse than it already is.

My brother had a lifted Jeep back in high school. He spent so much time and money on that thing trying to get it to drive right. He also struggled to sell it. I did not want to deal with that so I decided to keep things simple. That being said, I’d love to have a 3” lift with 285’s.

I went with the dobinson setup
1.75 - 2" inches in the front and 1" in the back
5100's all around

This setup allows to use stock UCAs
Drives pretty good on pavement

I was told that the height of the front spacer lift is half of the true lift height. Didnt make sence to me. Ordered a 3" front spacer lift and 2.5 " rear spacer lift. Now the front is only 1.5" tall is that how they work or did i get the wrong lift sent to me??

Kings with adjusters all around and set at 2.5" in front and 1.5" in the rear. Only regret not going with the Dobinson rear springs first instead of the Metal Tech rear springs.

This may have been covered before, but do all of you who do a lift/level (which I plan to do in the future) take time to re-aim your headlights? I haven't seen it mentioned in these threads.

Thanks.

I usually do when I lift a truck but I haven't bothered with the 4Runner and so far I have only been flashed by another driver one time. Until I decide to go bigger I will likely leave them alone.

Since I've upgraded my lights to HID/LED's, I had to re-aim them.

I haven't bothered either. Been flashed maybe by 2 other ppl but I also have my fogs lights on when they have.

5100s all around; stock springs in the front set at the top hat (2.5") and toytec superflex springs in the back (2"). After lifting the front 2.5" and doing nothing to the back, I was running 1" negative rake. So, the 1" eibachs would have been perfect to level out the vehicle but would have resulted in more wheel gap in the rear vs the front. That would have bugged the shit out of me so I went 2" in the rear. Love the look.

No regrets regarding the lift. I do have a small regret with the nfab side steps I replaced the stock running boards with. With the 2.5/2 lift, you (I? i'm not tall) definitely need side steps or running boards if you don't want to bolster the shit out of your seats. The nfab side steps are really far forward so if you can't open your door completely wide open, it's hard to place your foot on the step. I might just re-install the stock running boards for a quality of life standpoint and wait until the summer to source some tyger steps from the US.

Another small regret resulting from the lift: The winter setup looks so inadequate lol stock sr5 rims with 265 blizzaks. The thing looks like a roid pig that never works leg day. I picked up spacers for winter and trd pro reps (8" wide) but haven't put them on yet.

i wish i had gone with adjustable kings and i wish my rear spring had been the 1.5" it was supposed to be and not 2.25"
so i regret my purchase choices, not my lift.

5100s all around with T1 Front and T13 rear springs. Absolutely hated factory rake so I set the front 5100s at the .85" notch, netting a total lift of about 3.35" front and 1.5" rear. And yet somehow, I still have slight rake (body looks level, but there's about .5" more wheel gap in the rear). Stock UCA, alignment is fine. No regrets at all about lifting it. Did readjust my headlights, though, as they were blasting into everyones cabins.

I didn't adjust my lights for several months and never got flashed. Perhaps because the lights are so poor from the factory. I have since adjusted them though just for better close up vision. It's very easy to do.

Holy smokes...not a single Fox 2.0 or 2.5 mention in the bunch...even as the current TRD Pro stock set-up..why I wonder?

Wish I had mine mounted already with my ToyTec 2" rear springs just so I could have an opinion now haha
