There are dozens of digitally rolled-back cars for sale in San Jose. Tell me what year car you want and the mileage and I will get one for you. You want an 08 4runner v8 with 11 miles on the odometer? I have at least 5 I can get for you in a day...
Seriously, I would not trust anything with super low miles. Almost all of those "too good to be true" trucks are digitally rolled back or have swapped instrument panels.

End of 2019 I became owner of a 2003 SR5 V6 (2WD) with only 26K miles on it.
A garage queen that has never seen off road with everything original (even tires) Previous (original) owner, an old gentleman close family friend used it regularly for Drs. visit on tuesday and shopping fridays, not sitting unused.
Looks like you got a true unicorn. Extreme low mileage BUT had been used consistently. That's the key to the risk. Is a low mileage vehicle used twice a week for a 3 mile trip? Or did it sit for years cold? You sound like you got a gem.

When i bought it the dealers service Dept. invited me to an evening of food and information about my 4Runner and it's service.
That evening i was among around 100 new Toyota owners at their meeting, as we were chowing down on cold sandwiches chips and a warm drink, this dealers service Dept. Rep. explained we would get a free oil&filter when required, and went into how great their service was and we would always receive great service when needed.
Then right out of the blue he said Quote: Remember all us service people are on COMMISION so we have a real interest in you and your Autos.
You should have seen the look on everyone's face and the room got very quite, i don't think the guy ever noticed the reaction his words had on everyone in the room as he just kept on talking.
Right away people started getting up and walking out, i was right with them.
I never ever returned to my dealers service Dept. again and that was 2008 just changed my own oil&filter Mobil1 5/30.
This is the reason i don't trust Toyota's dealers service Dept. and stay far away from them.

Is the commute to work really short lol. How did you end up with such low miles on a 12 year old vehicle?

Have another auto just seemed to drive the car more, wanted to use my runner more but just did not really do it.

I agree. My 2008 just turned 50k miles and the paint on the front bumper and hood started peeling off. It's at the shop getting all the upper surfaces sprayed.

Mine is the 2008 model year made in August, 2007 and it has the same decals on the roof rack as of today. It has close to 208,000 miles (335,000 kms here in Canada). Basically it looks the same as when I bought it in August, 2013 even I drove 132,000 kms (82,000 miles) since then. In my experience mileage is not as important as regular maintenance and care of the vehicle.
