Do you think THEY are on T4R.org?

Came across this sick looking Night Train on Ebay....notice anything? Seller is from Charleston, West Virginia. I wonder if THEY are on T4R.org??

I must admit that I've taken a much more active role in looking out for other 4Runners since purchasing my TE last month. So far I've only seen one 5th Gen around these parts and the driver definitely did not fit the profile of someone I would expect to frequent this forum (bone stock, family stickers in the rear window, etc). Incredibly, I've yet to see a single modded 4R of any generation, but I attribute that mostly to my never really bothering to look before stumbling on this site.

I've also started looking for any other modded vehicles, regardless of 4R pedigree. Around here I've noticed a lot of lifted Tacos with black wheels and the Satoshi grill mod, as well as a fair number of Jeeps. By far the most common modded vehicle I've noticed are lifted, 4-door, long-bed Silverados with wide tires. Go figure.

I still hold out hope that one day I'll see someone rocking a T4R.org sticker, and we can exchange The Nod.

P.S. Not really related to this thread topic at all but I feel compelled to vent: This morning I had a middle-aged woman accuse me of backing into her car in my office's parking lot. I most definitely did not hit her car, but I humored her by going outside to check things out. So we get to her car, which is a Ford Fusion.

I immediately guessed that my truck outweighed hers by a good 1500 pounds (most likely more, I've yet to check specs). There was absolutely no damage at all to any part of her car, so I asked her to point out where she thought I hit her. She pointed at three black marks on her bumper (located about 8 inches or so from the ground) which I quickly pointed out were tar splatters.

At this point I was pretty blown away by the whole thing, but then she dropped this bomb: she admitted to me that a coworker of hers was the one who had allegedly seen me hit her car, and this coworker said that I had hit the Fusion so hard that the Fusion had moved from the impact (and yet, oddly enough, not set off the car alarm). I walked her over to my truck and showed her its pristine rear bumper, and stated the obvious: if I had hit her car with enough force to move it, I would have dented, if not outright crushed, her rear panels. She begrudgingly admitted that it didn't appear to be ANY damage and went on her way.

I could tell she didn't believe me, especially after I caught her and the co-worker outside pointing at various parts of her car, so I dialed up our security camera feeds and downloaded the footage of me driving by her car. Of course it shows me parking without getting anywhere near her vehicle. Now I'm just debating giving her a copy of the footage.
 
Hold on to the footage (should something ever arise as a result of the incident) and move on :surfer:. Should she ever approach you again, make mention of the security camera footage, she can research it on her own!

I just saw two silver SR5 5th Gens in Beaumont. One headed off to the retirement community, the other driven by an older woman from the Walmart shopping center. My guess would be they are not on the forum.

Thats when you call up cousin bubba with his beat up lifted 89' Bronco to back into it and leave. Don't worry, if she calls the cops, they'll tell her it happened on private property and they can't do anything.
 
When I see other 4runners I always wave, I do the same when I am on my motorcycle. We here on the forum should have a secret wave... then you would know who's from here...

I got waved at yesterday by a guy in a Mag Grey 4Runner in Abingdon, MD. I wonder if he's on the forum...
 
Saw a Silver SR5/Limited in Tooele, UT on Tuesday...with modified antenna!

Think they MIGHT be on here...

recently, i noticed that i throw up 4 fingers at other 4runners. kinda like a wave. i didnt even realize i was doing it. its like t4r has control over my brain.

but i think it works... cause then they are like " 4... whats the 4 mean... ooooooooh cause of the "4"runner.... nice"

Coming from a guy who drove a wrangler for almost 10 years and being fully indoctrinated in the "jeep wave" by my dad growing up its hard for me to not wave every time 5th gen drives by me. Hell, its hard to realize I can't wave at the Jeeps anymore without looking like a ruh****.

Why do you do that? My friend and I are discussing this. Is it the common bond of having the same vehicle, without knowning anything about the person? What if it's their significant other's 4runner: do they get the wave even if it wasn't their decision to buy it?

If I am wearing the same runners or jacket as someone in the mall should I wave? Just wondering.

its sharing the love of being behind the wheel of a 4runner. Dont have to take him/her on a date or anything, just showing the fact that we both appreciate the awesomeness.

what a party pooper. your probably the guy who sits in the corner at an event cause you dont know anyone correct? or the guy that always has to kill the fun. be nice to everyone. i wave at police officers, bus drivers, people who seem to be frowning, it brightens peoples day.
