Dobinsons 5th Gen T4R Suspension options - from Exit Offroad

Anyone know if the top caps and hardware Dobinsons uses will take a top plate specer? Just incase i add a low pro and want to get my lift back.

Yes, since you can reuse your OEM caps if you want. I have Dobinsons caps and put .25 inch toytec spacers.

Thanks, good to hear they are using longer studs to accommodate a spacer if needed. My OME kit I had assembled for the 3ed gen didn’t have long enough studs to make a .25 spacer fit.

Today I odered 302/700 front (assembled) and 325/705 rear. Mike was extremely helpful and quick to respond with the holidays approaching.

Basically 2”, no noticeable lean... With the 599's on the rear, there is still a slight rake, which I personally prefer.

JWscott79,
Are you still at 2"on the front or did the lift settle a bit?
Do the springs have any markings on them to indicate the model number or size?
I just ordered the same set-up. I was going to go with the C59-300 but didn't want to take a chance and go over 2".
I would have liked 1-1/2 to 1-3/4 but I'm hoping the C59-238 don't settle below 1"

No markings as far as I have seen. I am right at 5000 miles on the lift, I think it has settled as much as it is going to. Mike assured me that the springs were the correct model, as he said he personally assembled the fronts. I personally like the way it turned out and have chalked it up to 'lift may vary from truck to truck'

Hope this helps....

Just had the C59-300 & C59-599 installed. Front gained exactly 1.75" both sides as advertised. Rear got 1.875" & 1.625". It doesn't look terrible, but I was really hoping for only 1". The ride is great. I have them paired with 5100s. VTX wheels with stock size tires.

Nice, this is what I would like my rig to look like. I have a 2014 Trail Edition with KDSS and stock size falken AT3W

I'm going to pull the trigger on this set up soon (C59-300 and C59-599) and already have 5100s delivered and waiting . My question is to you guys who ordered this kit and have KDSS, did you install any spacers to account for lean?
i noticed some installed the KDSS spring C59-723 but seem to get more lift in the back, I would like to keep the rear low with stock tire for now.

Let me know

Thanks

Are any of you running the offset height coils for non KDSS vehicles? I’ve got a solid .5” lean post install of the C59-314 and C59-325 Coils. These coils are the same height. Debating if it’s worth trying the KDSS coils for my sr5 and putting the 5mm larger coil on the drivers side, or just putting in a 1/4” spacer in and calling it a day. The lean drives me nuts.

Current setup:
2014 Limited with 3rd row, daily driver, 90-95% on road, east coast trail rides, no desert runs or rock crawling
OEM XREAS with 3”/2” spacer lift & diff drop kit
285/70/17 tires
Pelfreybilt aluminum front bumper (probably +40lb net over OEM bumper components)
Second battery, +25lb
(4) Aluminum skids, +50-60lb (complete guess)
Roof rack, +90lb
Sliders, +90lb

What are your complete system recommendations for same amount lift & similar ride quality if I dump the XREAS system? I would plan on getting aftermarket UCA’s.

Thanks for your input!

On the front:
GS59-574 with C59-302 for 3" lift with the extra weight. Then add UCA's and keep your diff drop kit.

On the rear, C59-325 with GS59-701 for 2" lift with the extra weight.

You'll gain a much better ride with new longer coils and shocks than using the spacer lift that you're currently using, as it really won't compare.

My front Xreas shocks have started leaking. Time to replace everything. Order placed for the above shocks and springs along with Dobinson UCA’s. Thanks for the Black Friday savings!

Im looking to upgrade the suspension on my truck and just thinking of going with C59-723 or C59-725 rear coils with Kings all around. I like the idea that the Dobinsons are offset to compensate for the KDSS lean. I just having trouble deciding if I should go with 723 or 725 rear coils. I dont plan to load the rear with too much wight daily. But I'll just have the occasional tools and possibly a drawer/organizer system in the future. Plus gear for camping and our vacation trips when I do have time to go out. I also already have C4 sliders on the truck, so I know theres already added wieght from that. Anyone have any thoughts? Also how much is shipping typically to CA? I see on the website it is billed seperately.

I’ve neglected this thread for a bit and there’s a ton of pages to sift through for the answer to my questions.

Any update on the 2” lift front TRD Pro coils? Did they have the 2” of down travel once installed?

Project cancelled, only making 1" lift height coils. No HD or any other variants.

Looks good. Rear trim packers on both sides? Any lean? Do you have KDSS?
