Here's a post exclusively for the Dobinsons rear long travel coil options for the 5th Gens, which can also work on the 4th Gen's too. The C59-675V is 1/2" shorter on a 4th Gen.
All coils are made in the classic Dobinsons teal color, black and red, subject to stock availability of course.
C59-675V - Variable rate comfort option, stock rear weight, 3" lift. 470/470mm open, 16mm wire, 157-230LB variable
Depending on whether you have a 3rd row seat or any additional weight, these coils will be at 3" lift height with no rear weight. These can be run without long travel shocks if you aren't going for max flex but want to have great load support when adding camping gear or whatever other weight you carry around. You will need extended length shocks though to make sure that they don't top out too easily at this lift height.
C59-677V - Variable rate comfort option, 400+LB heavy rear load weight, 3" lift. 500/500mm open, 16mm wire, 157-230LB variable
These are the next step up with another coil wind added to give extra load support. Recommended to have at least 300-400LBS of extra weight on the vehicle at all times so that these perform properly and don't over lift. Due to their long free height length (19.7"), you'll have to remove upper and lower control arms and panhard rod most likely to get them installed, and long travel shocks will be needed to get the most travel out of them.
C59-701V - Variable rate, 600+ LB heavy rear load weight, 3" lift, long travel. 500/500mm open, 210-245LB variable.
Designed for those with heavy full rear bumper, tire carrier, roof rack, RTT, drawers, and fridge. Rides very well with all that weight, as well as when loaded even further. This is pretty much the heaviest flexi coil we can make while still supporting all that weight and giving maximum flex/travel.
C59-749V - Variable Rate, 800-1000 LB super heavy constant rear load, 3" lift, long travel. 520/520mm free height, 18mm wire, 198-300LB variable rate, usually around 270LB at loaded height
C59-849V - 3" Lift with a minimum of 1000LBS of added rear constant weight, 500mm free height, 19mm wire, variable rate 314-371 LBF/in at ride height/loaded, can be used with long travel shocks
Rear Bump Stops
HBS59-010FK - Complete Hydro Bump Stop Kit to replace the factory coil isolator and internal bump stop, CNC Machined 50mm Billet Aluminum Piston, EDP Coated 3mm Thick 56mm Steel Body
Hopefully everyone that is already running these coils will chime in and give their feedback. The weight selection can be tricky, especially since most people don't want to lift the rear ends too much, but without getting the load ratings correct and truly knowing how much weight you've added to your vehicle, you may end up with not enough or too much lift.
And here's my thread with every option front and rear that we offer including the shocks, front coils, and all of the linear coils for those not looking for anything too crazy. Dobinsons 5th Gen T4R Suspension options - lots of choices - Toyota 4Runner Forum - Largest 4Runner Forum
