Dobinsons rear long travel variable rate flexi coils

Are the TRD Pro Fox shocks at all appropriate to be running with these coils? My rig is heavy enough now that it squats a bit and I'd like to bring that rear end back up.
I am always carrying a Gobi ladder, splitting axe, 100w rigid solar panel, auxiliary battery, steel molle quarter window panels and steel shelf, and cooler. I am also a photographer who routinely also carries ~100lbs of camera gear. It adds up.
I'd rough estimate that I'm about +350lbs over the rear when loaded up, and +250lbs daily.

looking into these suspension also. still haven't decided which one to go with just yet.

They are probably ok for 2" but I don't know if they're long enough to suit a 3" lift. You would have to get the specs of them or measure the amount of travel they have left from stock ride height. If the shocks aren't long enough, they will hit max extension often and wear out really fast.

Im looking for an option for my pig. I currently have Icon stage 7 with the curved Panhard bar for the KDSS, and OME 2899 coils. I am very heavy (Front/Rear CBI bumpers, Drawers, fridge, RTT, Gobi Rack, Etc. I started out with the Icon 2" and sagged, went to the Icon 3" Overland, and sagged. Swapped out with the DObinsons 701V, and those also sagged. I currently have the OME 2899s, but they dont flex well. What would my options be?

[MENTION=148378]Crikeymike[/MENTION] - is is fair to say all of your variable rear springs will settle roughly 1/2''? I'm comparing the C59-675V vs C59-327 and if the 675V settles that much, it might not be as aggressive as it looks on paper.

No. The lifts heights I list are the settled height with the appropriate weight on them.
People make the mistake of measuring 5 minutes after installing and before the vehicle has settled and had a chance to break in at all. It takes on average 500 miles for coils to break in and settle.

The C59-749V, but I won't suggest those for a vehicle with KDSS
Sagging is a sign of something wearing out. Aka saggy boobs. Squatting due to added weight is what happens when more and more weight is added. The other coils squatted too much by all the weight that was added.

Which spring would you recommend for someone like me. Here's the weight that I have on mine currently:
- 150 lb RTT, don't plan on running this all year
- Skid set, 130 lbs
- Ultraswing with tire and accessories - 180lbs
- Hybrid bumper and winch - 170 lbs
- 60ish lbs of gear
I will eventually add my drawer setup back, no idea how much that weighs.
I was thinking the 677V, but maybe I should look at the 701V?

Without the drawers, the 677V would do the job just fine. A lot of drawer systems are 150LBS empty, then people tend to keep them full, so it could end up being 200-300lbs additional. You may end up needing the 701V's then, depending what sort of final ride height you're looking for.
Mike, I'm assuming this is due to the amount of lift you'd gain with these coils and over-extension of the KDSS piston?
I know it's a different company, but if that's the case the KDSS drop brackets MIGHT help out - they are supposed to allow an extended travel setup with no issues - but I have ZERO experience with them, just throwing it out there.
On a side note, the 677V are okay on KDSS, correct? Just getting bad ideas for the future :tape:

It's the fixed side of the sway bar in the KDSS system (fixed on the right side) that won't allow for that much lift. The new spacers on the market to space down the mounts could fix that, but longevity has yet to be seen. Ever noticed the KDSS sway bars seem to be 2x thicker than a regular sway bar? Incredible forces going thru that arm, so we'll see if some machined spacers can hold up to that or not.
It's anything above 2.5" that the lean can't be pushed out of it, not without modifying something. Sure the coils may physically fit, but you also may physically have a 1" lean or something crazy, and you know how forum guys normally lose their s**t when they're out 1/4"... It's a problem I try to avoid having.
Makes sense on both regards - seems like a neat product but I'm not jumping to make any changes yet. Good to know it's the lift as the biggest thing - mostly was wondering in case any weight went into the back down the road!

I think I'm going to stick with the 677V. I've experienced too stiff before and that shit sucks (896s with like 100 lbs lmao), especially if I'm not running the RTT all year round. I'm really just trying to do a slightly forward rake. Something like a 3/2.25 lift. Plus, my drawer setup isn't going to be two full drawers and I'm not planning to use it for sleeping since RTT, so I can cut down on the thickness.
I also realized I probably shouldn't count the 50lbs of of wheel and tire that is usually the spare and just add the difference, which is about 30lbs. So overestimating I think.

So I just ordered the extreme HD from the suggestion of one of your guys on the phone. Just want to make sure I ordered the right thing.
My rig has a rear dual swing out bumper that carries 5 gallons of water on trips, rarely 5 gallons of gas, tire, hi lift, trasharoo, small propane tank, shovel, ax, fridge, stove, one drawer and then the usual camping stuff/gear, roof rack, and baroud tent. Did I go the right direction with the extreme HD? Thanks!!

Yeah, as long as you want a solid 3" of rear lift, it sounds like you've got a very heavy rear setup with a lot of leverage on the rear suspension.
