Yep, those would be correct!!Thanks, I am looking for a 2inch lift all around so I think front C59-300 and rear C59-325 for stock weight v6.

Thanks man.Hey Mike,
I sent you a PM with some questions of my own. This thread is massive and has great amounts in information!
Mike, looks like I may have the opportunity to upgrade to the total chaos +2" LT kit for my 03 4runner and am currently in the market for a pair of long travel shocks. I'm running the IMS LT rear shock from you guys in the rear and absolutely love them. Looks like there is a matching pair for of the IMS shocks for the front as well. I see a recommendation to have you guys assemble the shock/spring combo and curious to know how that works. It doesn't look like the shocks come with the top hats, do you guys offer them or would I need to source them separately? Also, I'm looking to get the heaviest spring rate option you have available for these.. I'm just about as heavy as you can get with my rig so need all the help I can get from a heavy spring.
If you can drop me some part number suggestions and let me know on lead time I would appreciate it!
Thanks man. The community in this thread has been awesome over the past several years. This is an amazing thread!
Doing some advanced planning, I have read the entire thread over the last few days, and while I think I have some answers, and have been answered here, the amount of options, part numbers, and spring rates are making my head spin a bit.
05 SR5 V6 4x4, 200K miles and 17 years of wear, tear and sag on the stock OE suspension have taken it's toll. I have not taken any measurements, but the front is quite sagged down vs the rear. It's due for a refresh, and that's an understatement!
Looking for 1.5-2" of lift. While I'm still planning out everything, I'm not sure about bumpers, but possibly a hybrid to keep some weight down on the front, but an added winch. I do keep about 400 lbs in the back. Will add a rack, probably something like a 3/4 rack or something, and some sliders eventually. No plans for a RTT, rear bumper/tire carrier, etc. On road 95-98% of the time, a daily driver. It does need some tires, and was looking at going to a 265/70R17, something that every single tire shop should have.
The front is more than likely a textbook answer, it's the rear with the weight that changes the thought process a little bit. While the LT is awesome, it's not necessary for me.
I do really like the stance of the black 4th gen that's been posted here a few times, but that may be slightly taller than I'm looking, but I'm not opposed to that, just trying to keep similar to OE drivability and not too tall for the Mrs's and the littlest of dudes to get in.
Thanks man. The community in this thread has been awesome over the past several years.
The 400lbs you keep in the back, what is that? Is that inside the cargo area only?
Yeah, the front is as simple as choosing the coils to match the lift height. C59-300 with GS59-221 struts would get it back up to about 2" of lift, probably 3" taller than where you are now on worn out suspension.
For what you're doing with the 4Runner, you could run the standard twin tubes front and rear. They ride great for a daily driver, and unless you're planning on doing more offroading, you probably don't need the IMS or MRA shocks.
OK, cool. The 400 lbs is made up of sandbags and steel, it's ruck equipment. Part of a workout group and it's all free use stuff, but I own it so I keep it in the hatch. That little made in shelf makes it disappear, except for trips where we may need that extra space.
Having ridden and owned lifted rangers, super dutys, etc, ride quality is important, but reading here I'm not concerned about that at all, everyone is raving about the ride. Other than me going way off kilter with coils, sounds like it should ride and respond well.
OK, cool.
The C59-327 will be enough spring to support that weight, since it's all inside. You'll still get that 2" or so of lift out of them with the 400lbs inside.
No, those are only for no weight. They would be too soft with your added weight.Rear shocks would you say GS59-705?
Had my new lift installed. Happy to move away from my Daystar spacer lift and it rides way better than my failed X-REAS. Thanks again for the help!

I have a 2005 v8 4wd with XREAS and daystar spacers. Looking to replace it. It’s a daily driver, mostly highway, but I’d like a little bit of a lift to fit slight larger tires. I think 2” front and 1” rear. I’m thinking 265/70-17. I won’t have any significant weight added front or rear. Anyone have a similar setup with pics?
Crimeymike what setup do you suggest?
Hey bud,
That's a pretty common setup, 2" front and 1" rear. Here are the parts you'd use for that.
C59-302 front 2" springs on a V8
GS59-221 or IMS59-50220 front struts
C59-599 rear coils
GS59-705 or IMS59-50705 rear shocks
PS59-4030 front lean correction spacer
I looked at my saved photos, and these are the only ones that are at that lift height that I have saved. 2" front and 1" rear. This was immediately after the install, so it hadn't settled yet.
That's great to hear!! I've never had anyone switch from 5100's to Dobinsons and not really like the ride quality improvement. Finally got around to putting my new ims shocks on. (ims59-50220 front and the 50705 rear). They replaced bilstein 5100s with about 80-90k mi on them and its a major improvement. I drive about 15 miles of dirt/gravel everyday to get to work along with 15-20 miles of single lane, curvy back road and this truck has never driven this good. It handles the washboards and washed out, rutted dirt roads so much better than the 5100s ever did and is much more stable on the curvy, single lane road. Ive had the c59-300 front and 323 rear springs for a few years now and really like them as well.
In case anyone else needs some Long Travel inspiration for the reareasily picked up at least 2 inches of down travel and an inch of up travel over my last setup. Now to sort out my bump stop situation and I’ll be good to go.
Just curious.. is there a measurement of how much shock tube should be exposed at full bump ? My bump stops won’t work since I have my axle slid back almost 2 inches so I have to weld new mounts and wanted to make sure I get them as close to full compression as possible without bottoming out the shock but also not losing any up travel
