Does anyone else's windshield sprayers really suck?

My windshield sprayers really suck, they basically just shoot a single stream or fluid like two people are just pissing on my windshield. My GF's 2005 Camry damn near atomizes the water and covers he whole windshield and works amazingly.

I was gonna order some new OEM ones from ebay or Amazon, but I just wanted to make sure this isn't how they were meant to work, because then I'd be spending money for the same worthless junk. If that's the case, I'm gonna get some from a Camry and get them to fit.

The ones that spray 3 streams fit like stock. The ones that spray a fan pattern don't fit I believe. I put the 3 stream ones in mine and they work much better. Not sure what car I ordered them off of, but I think it's listed on the first page of my build thread.

Any part numbers you guys can recommend for ones that are a direct fit? Or maybe get something generic off RockAuto? Anything must be better than our stock ones.

Mine works good. They're stock and each one shoots 2 streams. So 4 total.

Mine totally sucked too, the washer fluid dry's in the squirters and gets all crusty. I found a piece of .030 wire that fit the holes perfectly and broke up all the junk and knocked it out. Blew it out with compressed air and they work perfectly now. I pulled my off the truck to clean them, took like 10 minutes total for removal/cleaning/installation.

You can also take a pick or something and aim them, I've adjusted mine a couple times so they hit the windsheild in a specific spot.

So yeah, I've been searching but it seems like those only give you 3 guys peeing on your windshield vs. 2, lol. I would really like ones like my GF's Camry that fan and spread the water out. I looked at hers, and they actually look very similar, so on my next day off I'm gonna see if I can swap them to check fitment, haha..... nobody tell her! :heh:

Go to pick n pull and find some they gave me about 5 sets for free. Kinda laughed at me when I came up to buy them. I got fans and three peeers and two peers and all from various Toyotas.

Somebody must have messed with it before I bought it, but I got 2 streams on the left and 3 streams on the right.

I thought that was kinda silly, now I know someone must have replaced the right side one.

Mine were clogged and I cracked them trying to remove them. I went to a pick n pull and got 3 sets, soaked them in CLR over a weekend and been good as new.

I replaced mine with these and it's a nice fan pattern that sprays the entire windshield. You do need to adjust the nozzle in them all the way up. One of the first mods I did, the streams are useless.

I replaced mine with these and it's a nice fan pattern that sprays the entire windshield. You do need to adjust the nozzle in them all the way up. One of the first mods I did, the streams are useless.

Fit is very clean, look oem. They are plastic with metal nozzle.

I just pull the hose from under the hood and blow them out with the air compressor from time to time. They spray pretty hard still

Installed these (from the 4th gen 4Runner)
Adjusted the spray direction with the push pin
Need a small flat head screwdriver to compress the clips (one on each side)
Took 10-15 minutes

Years ago I tried to clean one out with a tooth pick (bad idea)...

There's one one to a bag - and they're kinda spendy - but it's not likely you'll be doing the upgrade more than once

I just bought a tool for a few bucks on Amazon that has a thicker, fine point adjustor on one end and a thin one to poke out the holes on the other. Worked well to aim the RAV4 nozzles I swapped to.
