Does anyone make polyurethane steering rack bushings for 4th gen?

Hi guys,

Anytime I buy a used car, I usually replace the outer tie rods and also add polyurethane steering rack bushings for a more positive feeling steering wheel.

Does anyone out there make a quality poly steering rack bushing kit?

I used FIGS Engineering for my Lexus GS430 (They make quality polyurethane).

The White Line bushings are the only ones I could find.

Do you know what they are made of?

In the Lexus world, the general opinion is very poor about White Line. I don't think I'd use them because of complaints I've heard with improper sizing (bushings too loose).

They appear to be urethane just like Energy Suspension. The fit in my steering rack was really tight. I had to sand the outer diameter of the bushing down to get it to go in the rack and still allow the steel sleeve to go in.

Was the length of the metal sleeve correct? I once swapped to poly rack bushings (another application) and had to machine the sleeve length down by a few mm.

No issues with the metal sleeve.

I purchased the Whiteline bushings but never installed them. I figured that I would be changing the rack soon and installing these would be a waste. I'd sell them to you if you're interested. $35 and its yours.
