Does the 2013 Trail Edition have a lever or knob for 4WD??

Hey everyone -

I am planning to trade my 2010 SR5 for a Trail Edition. I keep hearing that the 2013 Trail has a knob acuated 4WD system vs. the good 'ol lever...can anyone confirm the truth??

It has a lever... Only the SR5 switched over to the button.

Thank you! I was not clearly interpreting all the great information on this forum! I did look at Toyota's brochure (which showed a lever)...but I wanted to be sure.

I was told by the salesperson when I bought mine that they switched to a knob for the 2013 TE. Maybe just on the Canadian-spec version? I hope so, bc having a real lever was my reason for going with a 2012 and foregoing the fancy new EnTune system.

Canadian te has a lever sr5 base has a knob and controls on steering wheel now just need to decide between the te which I like the hood scoop and gauge controls vs the upgrade package which gives the leather. Anyone chime in on the leather seats how'd they hold up in eg 10 years down the road I know there heated too which would help when its-50 up here

My sales person said is has a lever...and he supposedly checked...

The "build your vehicle" section of the Toyota Web Site shows a lever for the TE that I "built" on line...

Does anyone here actually have a 2013 TE? Maybe they can let us know.

Check the "Electronic vs Manual 4wd" thread. Someone with a 2013 TE weighed in and said the TE has a lever. They are also from my neck of the woods (as in the same state).
