Dome Light/ Driver front Door switch issue

i am running into an issue on my 96, where the driver door will not turn the dome light on, every other door makes it come on but the drivers. i have looked through the stickies and looked at the wiring diagrams and have gone cross eyed.

I am getting continuity from the door jamb switch to the connector on the fuse box but cant seem to find where it comes back out. Does anyone have any input or have you delt with this same issue?

i am electronically savoy and normally could find the issue but this is kicking my ass

main reason for the need to fix is my truck keeps locking me out and i would like to have the dome light come on when i get in, luckily i have a spare key lol, :frusty::frusty::frusty:

yes sorry meant to put that in the main post, switch works properly no continuity when pressed and continuity when not pressed

Instead of continuity to the switch, check actual function at the fuse/relay box connector. That is, do you get ground with door open and open (infinite resistance to ground) with it closed?

Where it comes back out is common to the other doors, so if you pass the test above, only thing left is a defect in the integration relay. You should be doing this test at Pin 5 of the Integration relay. (Pin out is Plug II5--see last page of attached). If that is good, you need a new Integration Relay (my guess).

thanks for the diagram i found my fault, i was test for continuity past where i had a break in the wire (felt like an idiot

I am now fighting to find a parasitic draw in the dome light circuit, all of my lights are working properly but when i disconnected the negative battery cable and place a test light in line the light glows

when i pull the dome light fuse the test light goes out, always something with this truck
