dome light

just wondering if anybody experience this. I install white LED lights for all my interior with the same type of bulb and brand and the dome light one doesn't look as white as others. I think the cover over the dome light blocks the true white light. Any thoughts???

I replaced all my interior lights with 'cool white' LEDs from Super Bright LEDs. All look the same color to me. Maybe you have one that is a whiter shade of pale.

Yup same deal on my tag light leds. One is brighter...

That one was the hardest (for some reason) for me to change, nut it is as bright as the rest of them.

yeah I don't know, its obviously white when I don't put the lens on but once I do its a different shade. I think the lens blocks off alot of the light. I'm limited in my selection for dome light DE3175 becasue most don't fit. What are you guys choices??

Super Bright LEDs lists 3 different direct replacements for DE3175 plus a 30 LED panel. Plus I know that the Universal High Power LED Kit - COB LED 36 PCB w/ Festoon Base works since I'm now using them for the dome and lifte-gate lights.

I got my led lights to vleds.com and the color is the same in all of them. For Limited you will need:

12x Interior Lights/License Plate

1x Dome Light

2x Rear Hatch

I believe this is one of the brightest LEDs available, at least according to the advertised lumens.

Three questions if you'd be so kind:
1) Did you have any problems with the thickness of the LED fitting in the tailgate light assembly?
2) Is the back of the LED insulated/non-conductive or does it not touch the two power terminals?
3) How do you have the LED secured so it doesn't rattle in the assembly?

No problems at all, the back is adhesive lined so it insulates and holds it in place. The only possible down side is that the light is obviously a large rectangle when on. However, it is bright and has excellent dispersion angle so it covers a lot. Even with the lift-gate open they are much better than stock at illuminating the cargo area, not good enough for me but much better than stock.
