Don't click if you think white wheels are so 1980's

Let me start by saying I've rocked black rims on a black 99 GMC Yukon, a white 99 F350, a black 05 Dodge Cummins, and a silver 07 BMW 335xi. Truth is, I just wanted to do something other than black this time. So why not the opposite and go white?

I wanted to throw up some pics and let the sharks go to town :fishing:

Ha, yes, a true 80's white would be rolling on some 44" boggers with 15" wheels. They're 17" FJ steelies. On GY Wrangler 255/75's I had laying around from a JK.

I think they look awesome. Different is good for sure. However, I don't think they would look good on anything but white or maybe black trucks.

15 or 16 inch wagon wheels would be pimp with some mud tires. Not even joking. Of course I grew up in the sticks in the 80s and 90s

Looks like those rims from a Land Rover from the 80s and early 90s.

Its a unique look for sure so enjoy.

Props for stepping outside of the box. I think it would look even better minus the drag slick tread you have on the tires. It really contradicts your "off road" sticker. haha I also agree that any other color vehicle the white wouldn't look so good. Now just do away with that silver two-tone stuff with some black Monstaliner.

I don't like the black rims that are so popular nowadays, so props for doing something different. Personally i really like the stock silver wheels that came with mine.

Did you paint, powder coat, or plasti dip?

Black wheels look great, I've had them myself, but they really are becoming played out. It's just cool to see a 'new' look with the white wheels. I wouldn't rule out the white wheels on other colors just yet--I almost did it when I had a black 3rd gen, just for a different look.

Thanks boys and girls, I appreciate the kind words. If/when I decide to put on some different rubber, I'll post some picks. But just for a little rebuffery...the tires definitely aren't slicks. In fact, they're Jeep OEM takeoffs with only 4,500 miles on them. And I already had them
Brand new tires + the price of free = an easy deicsion for now
