Dont hate but help please/new suspension set up!!!confused!!!

Hi all.I know it is a popular topic and you all are probably tired of the same questions but its much better to ask directly rather than reading tons of info and getting lostSORRY AGAIN.!!

The time has come to change suspension and much more and i am very confused at what to do!!!I read a lot on the forum but rarely post !!

i figured it will be the best for me to buy 5100s(4)and fj springs!!
now i have couple of questions

buy all 4 springs or only 2?

i want 2 inch lift on all around the car,will that happen with 5100 and fj springs?if not,what will i end up with and what do i need to make 2 inch lift?

i also want to put spacers,lets say 1 inch out,will it work with 5100 and fj springs or any additional items needed?

if anyone knows of any discounted websites please provide link or web name!!!

so many options and i am lost like a baby in the woods.

Part of fun about modding your vehicle is research and shop. IMO.

What are you using this rig for?

cheapest way to do a 2'' lift in your case is to add a spacer in the rear and 5100 shocks all around.

You can adjust the front to level with the spacered rear.

Why doe you want FJ springs? Obviously not for performance since you ask if you can get away with just 2 springs.

Nothing wrong with spacers and 5100 using original springs. It will ride great.

People get aftermarket springs for travel and flex. If your just using it for a DD and not towing which alot of people use it for (dd). There is no real need of springs.

You can just go the cheap route and add 2'' rear spacer and level the front adjusting the shocks. See if it meets your needs.

I was going to get 5100 since I had it in my 3rd gen. But the xreas are working decent. It was cheaper for me with good ride quality. I spent 80 bucks on fj springs.

i am using it for DD,sometimes towing around 3000lbs trailer and not crazy offroads!!!

it feels unstable when hitting small bumps on curved exit ramps or regular road.

as i read through the suspension topics,couple guys wrote that just shocks wont eliminate that unstable feeling when hitting bumps.it will only work as combination of shocks and springs.

I'd do all four shocks. Fj springs and a 1" spaceror 1.5 daystar spacer in the rear should get you 2" and in the front you'll either have to set them to .85" of lift or 1.75" It depends on how used they are, v6/v8 etc.

People make excuses to justify upgrades. I am guilty also. But. Its not going to hurt with starting with what i said. If you feel the need then add springs later. Im sure you are on q budget. If not you would be asking icon or toytec suspension. .

5100's and new Moog 4Runner V8 springs got me 2.25" lift in the front and 0.5" lift in the back. This leveled my 2006 V6 nicely. You could do a spacer in back if you wanted to keep the rack.

yes my budget is not best (baby on the way)

so 5100 all around with new springs(fj or tacoma)and spacers will do for no i will guess!!!

any good sources of buying these items which google doesnt show?

I got my fj springs from cl. I was actually eyeballing it before i got the truck. The Lift went on 2nd week.

found couple of deals online,and just wanted to ask you guys if its a good deal or not before placing an order!!cant find any fj springs so i decided to go cheaper and easier to find way with moogs!!
