Door Beep

Ive been searching and was unable to find a thread that covered this amazingly. i have a 98 and being a kid i like to play music with my doors open heres the problem however. THE DAMN BEEPING. Anyone know of a way to just disable the door alarm when its open? Thanks

Yeah, that is annoying, can't listen to factory radio with driver door ajar.

cut the wires to it. the fsm will show you the wires and where its located

Take out the bolt/screw holding the drivers door switch. Better yet, access the wiring to it and put a switch in line and mount it somewhere easily reached.

This pretty much the easiest thing to do.

If you open the door you'll see a rubber bump near the latch on the frame, this is the door ajar switch. Either unplug it, or run a switch to disable the circuit if it bothers you that much.
