I challenge someone to mod their new door sills to light up the same way. Certainly would be something unique for your 4Runner.

Actuallyt, since the 4th gen has lights in the door, it should be pretty simple to do. You have a photo you can post to show what you mean?

Sorry, but I'm having difficulty seeing which part actually lights up.

The actual writing is what lights up, in this case the orange "Lexus".

To mod the 4Runner door sill protectors, it looks to be a pretty involved project to me. You'd have to etch back the writing to be somewhat translucent and mount the lights under the door sills.

I think the problem with that one would be getting it on the door sill -- those seem to have a channel built into the door sill to make it look better.

For the light, though, it probably just has a wire or two connected to the same circuit as the door light. If you popped off the door sill, there's probably not much under there.

I bought a set and only noticed after they shipped that it's actually a set of TWO. It's the front only, and once I went back to the website, I noticed that it actually says so on the item description, so I feel extra retarded

But oh well....they'll still look solid in the front...I'll keep my eyes open for a set for the back and I'll post pics when they get here...

I don't have them just yet, but UPS says they'll be here on Tuesday the 20th of Jan. My car is out in town and I'm confined to the grounds of this fine institution until the following Friday if I don't get out to do it on Tuesday (F-ing Navy...), so best case the pictures will be up Tuesday, realistically, it'll probably be more like next Friday

My parts manager ordered me some last month, but the order was rejected and my Toyota parts rep said they won't be available until the end of January. So, I'll keep you guys posted as to when they actually get released.

When I called Hoover Toyota, the parts guy couldn't find any info on them. Did your guy say how long it would take to get them in?

I called last week and they couldnt find them.
So when I went to buy my fog light switch I asked
them and they said they would have to order them.
Since I dont have any money left I didnt ask how long.
