Ditched the 285 Nittos and went up to 295 Nittos. Should have gone with these first time around.

Also added a TRD Pro skid plate.

Got the crew together and hit Flatlands this weekend. We had the drone and cameras out. Hopefully have a good edit of the trip to post up soon.

Switched out my 5100’s for Dobinsons Long Travel front and rear. Dobinsons extended rear sway bar links. Metal tech 3” bump stop extender.

Front now measures 23” from center of hub to fender.

Rear is at 24” from center of hub to fender.

Still need to decide on what rear coil to run, extended brake lines, and adjustable rear arms.

Right now the rear sway bar links are adjusted to limit flex in order to keep the rear coil seated.

Had the alignment done. I was able to get 4.5 deg of caster at 23” ride height.

How would you compare the ride vs the 5100s?

From what I have driven so far, I'd say its more firm. The longer rear shock made the most difference due to my ride height on the 5100's. The front is solid. I'm going to pull my front sway bar and see how it feels.

I would probably categorize it like this....

Street/lools/mall = Dobinsons coils matched to 5100's

Performance/off road/ability to dampen heavy loads = Dobinsons coils and strut/shock

(side note: Mike @ Dobinsons says the strut/shocks will "break in" a bit after some miles. If so, it would be perfect all around)

Nice!! It looks really good. I already have his LT fronts but thinking about doing the rears. What front spring did you end up going with? I have an addicted offroad bumper coming so I need redo my front springs.

Some of the extra firmness might be coming from the LT strut and coil combo. I was just thinking, the LT strut is about the same as a 5100 on the second notch.

Awesome, I went with the 302's to support my bumper and winch. I'm at 23" center of hub to fender.

I'm looking at running the C59-675V rear. Currently, I am running the 325's in the rear. I wish they made a 2.5" rear long travel coil. That would be perfect IMO. But I guess I'll have to go up to 3" in the rear and add some more weight to bring it down to 2.5".

A rear bumper should be a good amount of weight :noidea: haha

**edit** also the Dobinsons Struts are twin tube vs monotube of the bilsteins... not sure if that might have anything to do with the added firmness.

I want a rear CBI bumper, eventually, after I do everything else. It'll lighten the wallet and weigh down the 4Runner ha

I forgot about that twin tube stuff. Good call.

Some of the guys and I hit Flatlands last weekend. We took a ton of video with the DSLR and drone. Maybe one day It'll get compiled into a video? Until then, here is a mud puddle.

Edit: I think you have to click the picture to watch the video? meh...

dot_tom when you did your BORA spacers did you have any issues with the front studs not threading all the way through the lug nut? I just threw some 1.5 synergy spacers on and the front lug nuts are only threading about halfway through before they get tight. Gonna remove them tomorrow and go with another brand.
