Went out to the Gulches yesterday, then on the way back to the house I stopped and ran Daniel at Uwharrie as the sun was setting....talk about a long day!

The 4runner performed great, drove 650 miles, and beat on the truck pretty hard, and drove home in comfort!

Awesome

Awesome. I need to get some new tires so I can head to fort fisher. Love heading down there and stopping at Brits donuts in Carolina Beach.

Thanks, we stopped at Brits too, so amazingly good!

The sand out there is really really soft. I ended up engaging both lockers to get going again from where I had parked...however I did not air down at all, so that may have been the issue.

That's some good information. I've been there a few times when I had a reg. cab tacoma with BFG's A/T's an never had any trouble. I just got my T4R this year and was wondering if I should try to head out there in stock form. I think I'll definitely wait until I get some A/T tires.

Looks like a solid couple of days of wheelin! Thanks for letting me check this thing out when I came by to order my wheel spacers the other week.

I think you would be just fine in stock form, just air down the tires. I am picking up a new Tacoma DD, I am leaving it stock, and it will become my new beach cruiser

No problem! Glad we could help you out :bigok:

Sweet wheeling pics man! This thing makes me want to SAS my truck asap

Thanks! Do it, it is a total blast building the truck, and even more fun wheeling it

So anyway, I am picking up my new DD next week! So excited to not have to drive this beast everyday

2002 Tacoma
2.7 5 Speed
Access Cab
78k

Now that I have a DD again I can go ahead and get going on the new rear setup...

Plans have changed a bit, as of now this is my plan:

Tacoma 8.4" ABS Rear Axle
ARB Air Locker
Poly Performance Chromo shafts
4-Link with 4WheelUnderGround Bracket Kit
Barnes flex joints
14" Sway-Aways or Fox's

Hopefully it will be cheaper than the front! I plan on getting starting on the gas tank relocation by the end of this month...it will the first step.

Nice! So what are the plans for the DD Taco?

Hopefully just drive it....however we will see how long that lasts.

I am already looking at the OME mild lift, that I can get through work pretty darn cheap...

I need help :bounce:

Might as well give it an air locker and some sliders, you never know. Work parking lots get dangerous :D

Got the K20 master cylinder installed yesterday!

Huge improvement in pedal feel and stopping ability. I can't lock up the fronts still, but the rear at least lock up. I may do the Wilwood's before too long.

Thanks to downpour11 for the write-up. Flaring the damn steel lines was a huge PITA!
