I had techstream running a few years ago but that laptop is no longer available

I'm trying to get a vm going with it on there and I have tried both the 20160212 and 20151123 listings on this thread but I always seem to get the screen that requires the dealer to input information. Each time I'm doing on install I'm doing it on a clean vm snapshot. I don't see any steps I've missed in the install document. Does anyone have any thoughts on what I might be missing?

I got the version of Techstream that came with the USB to OBDII connector to work on an old Dell laptop a co-worker let me borrow; but the battery wasn't that good and it ran out of juice. I forgot about the AC outlet in the console. The laptop didn't have its charger, but turns out a Chrome book from Dell uses the same charger.

Then I got it to work with a Windows 10 machine, only after trying it a second time.

The program Android CAN software 'Torque' cannot do the all the things that Techstream can do. (and conversely, there are many things Torque can do that Techstream can't).

I was able to download the software. I'm running Windows 7. I am at the configuration screen. I was able to find a dealer code on a random webpage. Unfortunately it needs a product key and says it expires September 1

Now I just need to buy the dongle or whatever it's called.

Rockledge Security

I have a 2016 T4R and I wanted to enable the "Rockledge" alarm that i thought was just disabled but still in my system. I bought a cable, which came with a disk with Techstream v8.10.021, on Amazon. I created a VM with windows 10 on my iMac. Everything working and i changed some settings but I couldn't find where to enable the security system. I saw in a youtube video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y0orOulWiPo) that you click "option setup" to enable it. I don't have "option setup." I clicked security and the only option is "warning by glass broken sensor," which was already enabled. I then decided to update the Techstream to v.11.10.034...did it, and still no dice. Maybe there isn't an alarm already on my system just waiting to be enabled?

Anyone know anything about enabling the Rockledge Security system?
