I appreciate the offer, notice you trying to sell it for tires. Been keeping up with your SAS build, and waiting to seeing it in person and in action.

Have enough buddies around me, if I need to use one, just hook up to it as they say.

Got a call from another member asking if I wanted to buy his CBI bumper, he just got it and installed it 2 weeks ago. He got a offer on a gen 5 he wants now.

Completely lost momentum Friday lol. We'll see how far we get today. One of he rear panhard brackets got messed up, so it had to be re-made. Other distractions ensued as well from too many people stopping by the shop about other things. Frustrating.

That's okay, my fabricator blew the tranny in his truck so our scheduled shop night tonight had to be cancelled, I won't be back in the area for the next week

Productive day today. School started back up so we were trying to work around each other's schedules.

This morning we got the rear brakelines all hooked up and ready to go. I put the rear driveshaft in... it's purdy. Mike had stayed late Friday and finished the rear panhard brackets which came out really nice. My old panhard crossmember that doubles as top shock mounts is now in the way so I'm going to take a sawzall to it tomorrow afternoon after I get off work and school.

Mike and Corey fabbed the front lower shock mounts which were a b1tch because it was such a tight fit. They ended up moving the bracket on the axle for the upper link over a bit. Everything is fully welded in. No pic of that today, phone was dead.

Tomorrow, we plan on getting the rear panhard finished and the front brakelines done as well as the rear lower shock tabs and hoops.... I realllllly hope it'll be driving by Friday... again lol School and work are now getting in the way, but we're closer and closer. It's looking really good.

To keep them parallel with each other. I pondered it for a bit and Callen (Fawk Awff on Pirate) came by last week and we talked about it. The strength is there though in how Mike made the bracket on the axle. We're also adding a brace plate that will join the panhard bracket with the upper link bracket on the axle itself.

I don't think I'll cut the whole original panhard mount out either.. since it slopes.. I'll just make it flush with the passenger side frame and cut across towards the drives side whatever necessary amount so the new panhard won't hit, then we'll cap it off.

I ordered some shock tabs for the top of the coilovers, but they won't work. So again, we're having to fab some custom ones. I was at the shop off and on today; after work in the morning, then after school in the afternoon. Mike was having a lot of trouble mounting the rear 14" coilover. It's really long lol. I ended up taking a sledgehammer to the inside fenderwell, it worked out great and we gained a good 2" of room. The problem was being able to get the bolt through without hitting. Obviously the best option would be to cut through the fenderwell, but we ended up making it work.

We also changed around the mounting for the shock hoops and added some square tabs for strength.

Mike is fabbing the rest of the shock tabs in the morning and then we're getting everything completely welded in.

The real fun is about to begin!! The rear is done besides welding in the lower shock tabs and the panhard brackets, which are tacked in.

Going to buy some brake fluid, diff fluid, and steering fluid tomorrow morning and while the rest is being welded up, we're going to hookup the front brakes, ps lines, pop the steering u-joint on, shorten the steering shaft (the one I bought is a little too long), and start buttoning everything up!! Then we'll assemble the coilovers, give em a charge, and take a forklift to it!

Makes sense to me lol I have seen it done bit opposing and not. It is gonna be a sexy beast here soon. Glad everything is coming out good too. And damn you for living in Cali. Some day I will make a trip out there. But not until I have a rig that can handle the trails there (specifically Fordyce)

Yeah, need to keep em parallel or no bueno.

Definitely get out here! Your rig can handle it! It would be worth it regardless.
