DOWNPOUR11's Build Thread

you think she's stiff enough without one? What springs are you running up front? Still havent driven mine so I'm wondering how it's gonna feel around turns...

Definitely doesn't need one right now. It's more because the valving on these profenders is really stiff out of the box. I'll soften them up when I get a new shim pack made but I have minimal body roll. Up front are 250/300 and the rear is 200/250. It's not super stiff, but it could use some softening up. It's still softer than my previous setup so I'm happy with it. It feels great around turns and is really stable.

I doubt you'll need sways. How close are you to driving it?

hopefully tonight...damn triple drilled flange didn't fit my driveshaft so I needed a 4-pattern flange...delivered this morning...gotta fix the bleeder screw on one of the calipers and fill the front diff

Ah yes I forgot about the flange. Well at least you got it! Easy stuff you should be driving it in an hour or two! lol Lemme know how it rides, how fast you got it to and if you have any roll steer. That was a concern from a friend since my lowers aren't triangulated but I don't have any.

Went to High Lakes today for a clean-up. I rode shotgun in Matt's truck (on Pirate)... incredible truck to say the least. Didn't take mine because there's still some stuff to be done, but mostly because I wanted to see how Matt's truck performed.

Just the mention of the Bro-coma gives me a stiffy... :bigok:

Ah ha!!!! I knew it lol. So when you gonna get to choppin???

Probably when I get some 37's. I doubt I'll be fully flexing the truck out anytime soon with snow season coming up. Everything clears with the IROK's that I have right now up to that last little point.

Headed to High Lakes tomorrow with a couple guys, but here are a few random pics from today. My friend Joe was determined to get on the log with his Mirage lol He did it though, props to him.

Had to flex it out to get to the zerks on two of my johnny joints lol the grease gun extension wouldn't fit.

Swapped front leaf springs on my friends 1st gen

Yup.

Joe spent a good 20 minutes getting to this point :lmao:

Ass in your face!

Dude why didn't you grab the tail light off the white 3rd Gen at the pickNpull?

Because when I went to the pick n pull in August, I didn't need a taillight at the time. That 3rd gen's been sitting there for a while. What's still on it?

Tailights are still on there lol. most of the fender flares are still there. Too bad the hood was a F'ed up. I've been wanting a sport hood for a while too.. Did the Limited come with sport hood?

Went to High Lakes for the day with a couple friends. I'm loving these coilovers and being able to cruise at 30mph comfortably on the trail. Untuned but still soaking up a lot. I can't wait to get these tuned sooner or later.

Didn't take too many pics, some poser shots and some video which didn't come out too well on my friend's iphone.

Absolutely great build! Very inspired, I want to pick up a 1st or 3rd gen runner to start wheeling. I have some good friends in the Chico area(Beekeepers in Orland) so I am usually out that way once or twice a year. Moving to Vegas and will be missing the North Dakota snow after seeing all these California rigs in the snow!

Keep the wheeling pics coming!
