Dreaded noise is back.

I had a previous post about this and the sound went away by itself and now it back.
I'm don't know much about mechanical stuff so excuse my laymen terms.
I described it as a "vacuum" sound that doesn't sound normal. I drove around and the temp stayed half point which is normal. After acceleration from a stop the sound increases a bit and after about 15-20mph it's gone.
Any one have the same issue? Open to any possible diagnosis.... thanks guys.

I'd start with the tensioner myself. Maybe something else belt related like PS or Alternator.

I have heard a similar sound and it was a power steering pump. I would check anything with bearings to see if something is worn out. Belts usually squeak or scream this more like a whine.

My 4Runner has developed a similar sound recently. I thought alternator at first but if I were you, I'd definitely check tensioner pulley and idler pulley first.

One thing I forgot to mention is the noise was still there driving up to about 45mph, after that the noise went away. And as far as monitoring the temperature, I never really paid attention to see how fast the temperature rises but one thing I did notice since I was watching is that it rose to half way point within 5-10 mins of driving, and stayed at half way point for the remainder of the drive. Is that normal?

It's seems you haven't experienced the entire symptoms of it being the secondary air pump, i.e. no limp mode yet, if you had you would have the expensive repair bill to pay to get back on the road, so you might want to act quick and do the "bypass" as a preventative measure, $45 vs 1000s, you decide!!

Edit: Yes your temperture gauge is working correctly.

Here's a link to the Secondary Air Pump topic, you can find several posts by Slyfox75 within that topic, his last posts in that topic are on page 11, post 203 and 209, contact him to get his bypass kit if you decide to do the bypass, once the pump goes out completely you won't be able to do the bypass unless you do the expensive repair and the new pump can still go out later on anyways, the pump may not be your problem right now and you may never have an issue with it, it's a gamble, $45 now or 1000s later if your pump does take a dump.

Read through that topic well enough to find out, but if I'm not mistaken and the pump goes out and starts to throw "codes" and go into limp mode you'll have to replace it (big $) before doing the bypass, so unless you find another cause to the issues you're having at present it would be best if you avoided using/starting the truck until you perform the bypass if possible and you have something else you can drive.

I'm not wanting to scare you but trying to save you an expensive repair, hopefully you find that it's something easy to fix and not the pump.

Just took it to a mechanic, said he doesn't think it's the air pump rather thinking its has something to do with the fuel system and that he can feel the vibration coming from back of engine where the fuel goes in. Scheduled appt with Toyota dealership on Monday. I will return with update.

Guess what...?!
The dreaded noise is gone now, hopefully for good... I'd say no, it might come back though. Fingers crossed that it doesn't.
I'll keep my appt with dealership just in case and just let them listen to the video if noise is still absent.

That is your alternator bearing. I started mine up one morning and it was making that exact noise. Got to my shop put it on the lift and sure enough it was the alternator. Replaced it and she is back to quite as a mouse.
What's crazy is I have never had a customer with a V8 alternator go bad. I have 4 in the last 2 months, mine included.

The next time it does it, get underneath with a very long screwdriver if you don't have a stethoscope. Put it on the alternator and you will hear it.
