Still along way to go ordered up some pre bent material today that should be ready for Thu. hopefully we can finish the basic construction then. Still on the hunt for the color paint I want. Can't wait till its done and painted should catch a few comments. not sure they will all be good though.:biggrin2: This bumper will eventually double as air resivor for on board air comp.:guitar2:

Are you going to add a tire carrier?[/QUOTE]

I have a plan for a tire carrier but it will be a little hard with this bumper do to the fact I wanted it tucked in close to the body for better departure angles. I might some day add the carrier but I also use my hatch very often and I'm just not sure that I want that big tire hanging off the back of the truck.

So are you going to keep the spare in side the cargo area?

For now but I think I am going to put it up top ya its a P.I.T.A. but once there how often do you have to mess with it? I don't go places with parking garages often. also raises C.O.G. if i get the chance to check out some tire carriers in person, the ease of use and such it might change my mind but for now I'm just not real hip on them. cant wait till brian2sun gets his CBI on and I can check it out.

So now that I am finally getting pics from old comps transferd to one that works lets step back in time. Lets jump back to 11/06 location northeast Washington, before I started modding and wheeling my runner How she shined

So as it is that I just got into this forum thing this spring I really have not done a very good job of documenting my mods but this is where I will be in the future, I will also be going and taking pics of things as they are now and posting them with info on the mod for those with questions/ suggestions/comments thank you in advance for any complements/criticisms:cheers:

Flash forward to today.. So happy to be rid of all this stuff.

First true test of 4 wheel disc brakes with no anti lock and 33's!!!! Score well the Kid is still alive, but the wife and I have stains where they shouldn't be.

So I'm driving along about 35-40mph. approaching intersection green light all opposing traffic stopped when out from behind the fence races a young boy on his BMX from my right side I hit the breaks and swerved left as he swerved right we both stopped his handle bar end was right under passenger side mirror and his eyes were bout to pop out of his head. I was very impressed with the sudden stopping of my runner I so wish that intersection had cameras I would love to watch the video. :wow2:

started a few more projects today

this week is going to be very busy but will post a few pics here and there as things progress

That's cool you painted the sliders green, looks good. The bumper is coming along good, can't wait to see it in person at Takeover!

Pure, if you want to go to Takeover this weekend, just show up. The rules say anyone with a yota can join in, you just don't get the registration goodies like the t-shirt and stuff. Call us, we'll be up there all weekend! PM me if you need my cell (I think I gave it to you before).

Drifter you can check out my tire carrier at Takeover. It really isnt a pain at all. There are a few minor changes I will be making but it works well.

well bumper is not going to be finished for this weekend but at least it is solid and dose have recovery points. Measured today and gained 12" of clearance from hitch to new bumper WoW. So here are some pics from today's work session.

Cool I'm hoping there will be a few that I can look at/operate and see what I do, and don't like. I am so ready for this weekend can't wait.
