I like the way it is coming together and if what I have planed works out it should be very unique when finished, might be on the heavy side I will probable be upgrading the front suspension down the road.

Coming along nicely. It's hard to tell from the pics, but how's the approach angle?

Well before the front of the bumper was about 13" from the radiator now it is about 11". The lowest point in the center of the old bumper was about 17" from the ground and now it is about 22" from the ground. I had ideas of more but to maintain winching strength I decided to keep the winch as low and inline with the frame as possible.

Nice, the pics made it look like it was maybe closer to the ground than the stock bumper, but it's hard to tell from pics. Can't wait to see that thing in action!

Ya the last pic really makes it look that way because I took the pic looking down on it so you could see how the wings sweep back as well as up.

its going to look way better than your stock one. No more BL GAP !

Ya that gap was killing me not to mention hitting the bumper on everything out on the trails. It should hit less often now. I sure hope no little sports cars run a light in front of me cause this thing will cream a plastic car.:lookout::boink:

Here is where I think I'm headed for now any way might go pick up[ winch today so I can make sure everything will fit.

So at this point my new bumper weighs in at 53#, and my old one @ 42#, Planned winch @ 93#, plus plating maybe another 10-15#'s so maybe 160-170 with winch and paint.

Looking good so far drifter.Mind if I ask what winch your going with.

Well I'm going cheep on the winch so far its the Smitty Built

XRC8 Winch-RH2

I just cant justify spending a lot for a winch that I might only use a couple times a year at best. I have heard a lot of good things about them but most people through in that they are slow. I don't have to get un stuck fast, I just need to get unstuck.
