I just want to know when SOMETHING will be completed. He had 4th and 5th gens "mocked up" in december. He also had FJ mounts available....which I ordered. Then was told he can not make the FJ ones. Everything just keeps changing from Decembers post. It just sounds like there was a lot of over promising and under delivering. If you are going to offer a product for sale, you should at least have a real prototype before you promise a bunch of people something. I am still waiting to see what the actual 5th gen mount will actually look like and when it will be ready. Not trying to bash, just trying to express my opinion.

I appreciate the support that some of you have shown towards me. Yes I took on too big of a project without a really thinking of the consequenses and I am doing everything I can to right it now.
There was nothing cut at all on the 5th gen, I pulled the bolts that hold the strut in up top, placed the mount under and rebolted it. It may be the angle of the picture, but the mount sits up tight, not touching, to the rear spoiler.
I wanted them to be similar to the 3rd gens, I thought they looked great there, but there wasn't a solid mounting location.
The new design will have the "t4r" cutout, Since the new mounts are much shorter than the originals I have been working on how to keep it legible while not cutting too much out (except for the guy who didn't want cutouts)
I am right there will being frusturated about the setbacks in dates. I have been putting most of my free time in after work but things still come up. We tried using a new cutter for our 3rd gen mounts and they didn't turn out to the standards I wanted so I'm not going to sell them.
As for the fj mounts, I have been talking with my business partner about using his truck for a few hours to get the mounts all set, but he has had some personal things going on with his son and I understand that takes priority so I haven't pushed it much. That being said, there will only be passenger side fj mount, we don't want to run into any patent issues with Allpros bandi mount since I know the risks involved with that from previous forum members and Gobi.
We have reworked our business plan and getting these mounts all set and shipping out is our top priority for us.

Hey sorry for the delay, just got outta work.
Our original design for the 5th gen was by the tail light and mounted off the bumpstop bolts, after looking at it more I realized that it wasn't possible to have it mount there without cutting the plastic moulding of the taillight. My solution was to move the Mount higher and attach it to the top Mount of the hatch strut, the same as the 4th Gen mounting. I know it's not the ideal position for some, but the are very stelth and only require a 1 or 2 foot antenna. I will be checking the best way to run the coax cable and making sure it will fit hopefully tomorrow

Got a few hours to work with a 5th gen yesterday, I didn't have the right thickness that I could bend so I went a bit thinner but I'll be making a new one of the correct thickness today. Once I have the bends all set I can work on creating out with the cutout
I also have 4 fj mounts that I can send out tomorrow if anyone is interested, they won't have any cutout, but future ones will have an fj cut out. we wired a reverse light up on a buddies truck.

No 3rd Mounts are available from them. Mounts are supposed to be returned to me this week, and I'll resume production of the Drift Mounts.

If you can come up with a 5th gen mount as originally posted (under the tail light) then i would be back in for a driver's side mount.

I'm not sure how to change the name of the group buy on here, but we will no longer be associated with the 3rd gen drifter mounts that mstudt had been making.
As for the 4th Gen mount, the file for cutting was sent yesterday. There is about a week turn around due to his lead time. I want to make sure all our measurements are perfect before I send then out, but in think we have them down.

Is a standard cb coax cable going to be able to screw on to that antenna? Looks tight
