I am tired of trying to keep a diaper on my transfer case actuator leak. I was using those oil zorb pads and copper wire to keep the drips off the driveway.
Finally had it and went and bought a 9x12 baking pan from the thrift store and some 1/4 bolts w neoprene washers, nylon fender washers and nylon wing nuts. Mounted 3 bolts sticking down through the bottom of the skid plate and put the pan in place. Hit it with a hammer to mark the holes to be drilled, and wha-la! A drip pan that stays with me at all times. Holds about 1/2 gallon of 80w90, so I should be good for a while. I put down a 1/2 inch of kitty litter and a few of the pads in the pan after I bolted it up, so when I drop it once a year there should be a nice mess to clean up. Used a few wraps of wire to keep the pads / litter in place till they get heavy with oil. At least this allows me to go in there and top off the transfer case every other oil change and not worry about it.
Now I can park in my mother in law's driveway.
