Drive Time Cycle Testing Results Question

Hello all - A quick question regarding status readings for tests done in the Drive Time Cycle. When I check the status of various elements on the DTC readout on Torque Pro - I get either a "Completed" status, "Not Ready" status, or "Not Available" status.

If a component fails its test - should I be seeing a "Completed" status - in other words, is there a status of "Failed" that will actually show up when a CEL is activated?

Thanks!

Not sure, but I think you just get COMPLETE on that screen. To see a Fail, you have to go to the Fault LOG Manager, screen on far right:

The interface is polling different PID's for Readiness as opposed to DTC's. My old hand held does the same thing--Readiness is Yes/No then you go check for codes elsewhere. After all, there are many more DTC codes than there are Readiness Monitors.

Yep - seems we are thinking in the same vein. I guess the DTC monitor's job is to manage the components testing status, not whether it passed or failed....Like you said, that's where the fault code portion comes in.

Thanks!
