Playing a little game of Whack-A-Mole with this since the lift
Anyone experience driveline vibration after lift and tires? I put the OME kit on with no additional spacers, so it's a modest 2.5-3 inches, no more, and since then I've had a rumble-strip-like vibration at slow speeds. It doesn't go away until I drive faster.
It's not the transmission rumble strip- no problems there. I thought it might be alignment, but I installed the LR UCAs and got it aligned and it still didn't correct the issue.
CV angles are good, just slightly more than level. I also re-booted and rebuilt the inner CVs.
Thought it was the lug-centeric aftermarket wheels but that wasn't it either. Not a wheel balance issue either.
All steering/suspension components are in good order and tight. All U-joints and slip yolk were greased. The only common denominator is the lift. Since I'm not taking it out (XREAS was trashed), I'm assuming the driveshaft angle is what's causing the vibration.
Never heard of 4th gen requiring a double-cardan or carrier bearing setup to accommodate drive shaft angles.
Mileage is 140K now. Pretty much everything is stock except the lift and UCA's/
