driver seat not low enough

I just recently purchased a 2008 4runner and it has the electrical seat adjustment knobs... and I adjusted it downward the lowest it seems it will go but that seems still too high, and I'm only 6'1".... my head touches occasionally, not much room of clearance. i put my hand on my head flat and it touches the roof. I was hoping I'm missing something here and there is a way to get the seat lower? :redbrick:

u happen to have the sunroof? if so thats why.

yes i have the moonroof... is the roof lower with moonroof? i guess i'll have to open the moonroof and stick my head out and drive that way... im not even that tall, was hoping the seat could lower even more.... just like another inch lower and I think that would work much better.

Unfortunately, that is the added price of having a moonroof. I'm 6' 2", no moonroof and no problem with headroom.

Of course, I've had a doctor tell me my posture sucks, so that probably helps me some.

i guess i'll just have to adapt to it... but that's a bit disappointing. just half an inch more room would be a lot better. i better not grow any taller.

I have the same problem with headroom. I reclined the seat a little more than I prefer but now I don't hit my head when I lean forward.
I hate stupid sun/moon roofs!

Im only 5'7 and thats how I felt when I drove a 5th gen.

yeah i'll play around with it and see if i can find a better setting. i like the idea of having a moonroof but id probably rarely use it. haha

I'm a little less than 6' and it is annoying to me. I've adjusted to it. It took a year or so...

6'2" here, hair grazes the headliner only. I don't think my seat is reclined too far back either, ample room for the second row and seat is not in the rear most position. Though when my dad drives my 4Runner he does say it's "too lounged" for his liking.

I agree....I'm only 6'2", and i feel really cramped in mine. I love the moon roof but I get jealous for more head room every time I look in the back (where the roof is higher) . It is worth noting however that I do try to sit more upright because I hate having to slump forward to make sharp turns and whatnot. I still don't understand why they couldn't make the sliding assembly a little smaller...oh well. We cant have it all.

I'm 6'2" and don't really have a problem with my moonroof. Try sliding your seat a little further or recline it a little bit
