Driver Side Rear Sag

When I got this truck, rear sag was an obvious problem as soon as I saw it. I recently replaced my rear suspension with a KYB Monomax and New Stock Coils on the Rear. Few days later, I noticed the driver side rear is lower than the rest of them at about an inch. I've searched and searched on the forum and I thought. Is this normal? Is there a fix for this?

Springs are side specific. Taller side goes on driver's side to deal with extra weight. Did they get installed correctly? Also has it ever been in a wreck? Could be a bent frame.

I have to check if they installed it right. I don't think they knew they were side specific. I mean looking at it, it looks exactly the same to me too.

I could be wrong. It has happened before where I was, maybe some other people can chime in to confirm OEM rears are side specific. Did you install them or someone else?

Local suspension guy. He said it's not side specific.

You can get some spacers from Toytec for this issue.

I'm almost 100% positive they're side specific, especially to deal with the fuel tank on the drivers side.

I would ask Toyota about that. I know the Land Cruiser coils I used to replace mine were side specific, they are also front springs used in the rear so... I'm not sure. 1" sounds like a lot just for a little extra weight sag on new springs.

I just purchased all four springs for mine, and there were separate part numbers for the front (side specific). For the rear, the part numbers were the same. Wouldn't the parts numbers be different if they were actually side specific in the rear? Mine are the '99 talls, but I can't see it being any different for an '01 in spite of the height difference.

Yes they would be different. OP looks like you have a different issue.
