Drivers Side “A” Pillar Grip Handle Installed on 2014 -2025 T4R

I understand there is a video on YouTube of the 4Runner air bag deployment.

The airbag on the passenger side is in the same location as the drivers side location. The handle locates in the same configuration but with a kit instead of the welded brackets from the TOYOTA factory. Do yourself a favor and pull both trim pieces off and take a look!

I stated before that I think it should have been a factory grip handle located there like the FJ Cruisers have.
 
I love this feature on my 4th gen....and since you can do this now on the 5th, there is hope for a future purchase. Woohoo! Very cool. Cheers!
 
Thanks Saker. Didn’t think about the passenger side. I want to remove the handle above the driver door and put this handle.

Be sure to use the FJ Cruiser Grip Handle as described in the link above. There are different ways to secure the handle, so read the full thread.

Welder finished a batch today. I'm shipping tomorrow for those that have paid.

Happy memorial day everyone. For any service men with and with out us thank you for your service.

I received a fair share of emails as many received my packages and had a good outcome installing them. Great to hear...

I spent the day with my father building a shed in the backyard.....my grandfather, his father who paid ultimate sacrifice in Vietnam is why I always spend memorial day with him.....

Glad everyone had a good weekend. I have a few left ...i can make more. Take care all...
