I just placed an order with lparts.com. the total came up to $272.10 after the coupon.

Received my driveshaft on Friday and made an appointment for Wednesday. Hopefully once the dealer installs this, the noise will go away. One thing I noticed is that there is a staple on the shaft over the dealer destination sticker. Hope it doesn't cause any issues

the dealer just called me and said the part was to short and the splines are coming out

Looks like there are about 4 different versions of this driveshaft, maybe for the different drivelines (2WD/4WD, V8/V6?). Did you order the part by using your VIN? This is just an idea, but from previous posts it looks like you ordered this from a Lexus dealer. The Lexus only comes in V8 driveline, you have a V6.

All the previous post suggested the 37110-60A40 part so I went with it and did not order by VIN. Also I just saw this thread about this part on a v6 and KC4x4 saying that this part is to short. applying lexus drive shaft tsb v6 4runner get rid clunk
The correct part I need after speaking with the service advisor is 37110-6A440 and looking at the attached image it is the most expensive. so technically my dealers part price was not too off.
It might be a bad u-joint but I am not 100% sure is there a test I could do to see if it is the u-joint?
I just sent an e-mail to mylparts to see if they will take it back if not I will sell it in the classified section.

with it off the truck, it would be very easy to tell. just check to see if the joint is tight, or moves freely.
on the vehicle it can be done as well, but its not quite as easy. unless its very bad.

Update: I received the right part a few days ago and today had it installed. Now moving from a stop is smoother and does not want to bolt when letting go of the brake. I also noticed that 4wd H engages faster than before. The old driveshaft looks mostly ok except for one u joint where movement is not smooth mentioned by the tech before. Also the deep squeak I mentioned before is still there but seems to be coming from the rear drivers side brakes not the driveshaft. I thought brake squealing would be high pitched like my late 98 Camry but I guess it is deep because it is a truck and bigger. Thanks everyone for there help.
