Driving from Argentina to Canada by VW Bus

While I was at the local tire shop having some routine maintenance performed on my 5th Gen I met this couple from Argentina:







They are driving from Argentina to Canada in their VW camper bus! The wheel bearing went out on their van and they were having it repaired. We talked for a while and they are coming for dinner tonight. Very interesting people! They will be slowly making their way eastward to Florida, then eventually up to Canada.

So they're in Texas now? Do you know when they started?

I would love to have the free time and disposable income to do something like that.

Course if I did, there's be a bunch of surfboards strapped on top of that van.

They've been doing this for 18months. They travel slowly checking out the small towns along the way as they go. They've been in Texas all this January. I'm hoping to get more details from them tonight.

OK folks, just wrapped up a very pleasant evening with Diego & Mercedes! A very charming, entertaining couple. We could have easily spent many more hours talking, but they have to get going again tomorrow and needed to call it a night. They are hoping for the opportunity to meet more Americans and Canadians as they continue their journey to Florida, up the East Coast and eventually Toronto.

They are going to stop and meet my parents in Louisiana along the way. If you are up for meeting some interesting people contact them through their website.
