I just replaced the rear drums, shoes, and bell crank housing to get a working parking brake and rear brakes this weekend. I used Duralast shoes and the pin that the auto adjuster cams on just pushed in with little to no resistance, on the old shoes the pin was crushed to stay in place. I have no way to do that without ruining the other end, what did you guys do? As far as adjustments how do you know when they are tight enough? Just a little scrub or more?
