I may have to give this guy a buzz. I've had a brand new group 34 marine battery in my garage for 9 months waiting for someone to design a battery tray in the U.S.

If anyone is interested in a group buy, I'm willing to coordinate shipping - assuming it makes sense.
 
I would be interested in a group buy of some sort. I'm going to email bud built again and maybe emphasize that there is a large number of potential buyers.
 
BudBuilt Battery Tray Update

Just an update. Lisa from BudBuilt sent me an e-mail yesterday saying she was going to send me the tray for final test fittings and then for them to go into production. I will keep you posted to when it arrives.
 
Tell her because they were slow they missed out on about two dozen tray orders of people who bought from Australia.

Machined out of 6061 T6. I am using a Odyssey PC1200, a few have asked why I didn't go with a larger batter. My answer is, because that "little" battery packs quite a punch and combined with my starting battery, offers waaaaaaaay more power than I would ever need. Plus, I still had to relocate the Power Steering fluid res., but I only had to move it over about an inch. My goal was to fit an aux. batt in that spot with as little disturbance to the OEM lines, parts, etc. as possible. That is a 100 amp breaker on the hold down and it is used in conjunction with an IBS DBS battery controller. Awesome system.

VERY NICE! Now that is what I would expect a $200+ battery tray to look like. Whenever you decide you want to make another one put me down for one. Just give me a heads up so I came pull the bracket off and send to you as I work out of the country everyother month.
 
OP, or anyone else....

What is the point of the dual battery monitor you have posted on the 3rd page? Just to see the output on each?

What's the latest best option? ABR? Also...I was given a brand new Optima D34M and have a brand new OEM Toyota battery. I'd like to just pop in the D34M as my aux battery and keep the new OEM. I'm wondering if dissimilar batteries linked together in a dual battery setup will cause issues ie. one draining down the other etc.
 
I have a tray installed so I was wondering about my options for the electrical components (isolator, monitor, etc.).

What are the choices? What are advantages of each and cost of each? I am hoping for a complete kit solution, preferably one that I do not need to order from Australia.
