I just got an ARB Fridge and Freezer and was wondering if I need to be running dual batterys when I go to do install. I have a yellow top in my car now. Would that be enough?
I've been running my ARB 50quart fridge for 4 plus years 24/7 on my optima group 31 blue battery. Never had an issue.
That's one way. Don't you have a 12v socket in the back of your truck already?
I dont think so. But Im gonna double check. If so i dont think it stays on when key is out of ignition.
If not that'd be an easy fix.
If you don't have one, check out the cost to put one in before you pay for the ARB kit. A Blue Sea socket and a fused wire terminated on the battery wouldn't cost much. If you don't want to run wiring and install a socket, you can get (or make) a 12v extension cord and just use it from an existing 12v port up front.
