Got the stock 17" wheels and am thinking of putting 20s on my 4th generation (2004) 4runner...will this cause any problem parking in a standard home garage? My curiosity? TIA.

I suppose dubs are huge rims... i.e low profile or some of that stuff...

About the "hurting perfomance" or what ever it's called...
Of course it does hurt the original concept of the performance of the car, but so do 33s, 31s or any other size, lets not even speak of the oversized rims that some freaks have, like 44s on 15" by 18" rims...
Lift, or whatever, it hurts the performance...

Let's lay off the BS folks!

(I personally don't like rims over 15" for these cars but that's just me...)

i have a 91 with 20" rims....i did get the largest tires possible without having to do any lift.....im not a fan of the low profile tires for trucks

yes "DUBS" are technically 22" rims or higher.

There is a youtube video of some Japanese boys slapping on some DUBS with a nice offroad/knobby tire and lifting the 4R a bit.

I personally love this look. I think the youtube video is called "The Kings of High" try and do a search for that.

I really want the specs for their mods, but I am sure I would have to ditch my XREAS and I am not ready to do that just yet.

nice wheels they look good and you have good rubber on your rims a nice meaty tire even on 20's, I bet it rides pretty good

the ride is great.....feels no different than the rims and tires that were on before....i think it rides better to tell you truth....yes the speedometer is off a little but all and all i dont see any performance issues....still get the same gas millage too !!

When i bought my 4 runner a year ago the guy gave me these 22 inch chrome spinners which are just re****ed. I never even put them on the car, and i cant sell them. They rub the wheel wells and kill gas mileage. Why not just get something functional and looks nice. I wish someone would trade me for some 19's. If anyone in the florida panhandle wants to take a look let me knowm, they are brand new with nitto 420's tires with the nipples still on them.
