Duck Commander Tires

Agreed, this is the quote of the week

These guys make me sick, and I am from and live in Louisiana. Every Walmart and service station around here has some DD crap, Happy, Happy, Happy pull over hats to the sunglasses. I am sick of it.

i feel your pain, i live near west monroe where the duck commander headquarters is. everybody in this state knows they're just bunch of clowns. although i hate the tv show and what they have done to the sport, i do like the direction in which they are trying to move in with tv shows

Man you guys must not have wives that watch "reality tv", by comparison these guys bring the quality of tv up, sadly.

The tires are hokey for sure though...

Ha, these guys will put their name on anything. They are the Kardashians of pretend rednecks. Anybody who buys their cheap crap deserves it when it falls apart.

How A Wealthy, Clean-Cut ?Duck Dynasty? Tricked The World For Publicity : Political Blind Spot

I agree that they put their name on a lot of crap, but that article was obviously written by some one who doesn't like Phil's beliefs and has never met the family. All reality shows are scripted, but the personalities you see in this one are genuine.

Wearing camouflage and having a beard doesn't make you a redneck, and most of the ones I know have a college degree and six figure bank accounts.

Phil was living the lifestyle 20 years ago; beard, face paint, and camo overalls. That he successfully turned it into a wildly popular enterprise is nothing to be ashamed of.

It's true that they are "genuine" .... Genuine reality television actors. It's just one of hundreds of articles on these idiots. And sure Phil would prefer we all lived under sharia law, but if you like them and want to buy their crappy branded products that's great. Let us know how those tires work out! That's all the OP wanted to know in the first place.

Sorry if I derailed the thread. I just hate seeing people spending their hard earned money on cheap crap that they think is quality because it's been endorsed or promoted by reality tv actors.

Also the thread should have been locked after the Flying V comment. Still laughing at that.

Sorry op for any derail....
SirBarton,

Greetings sir,
Never bought or wanted/needed to purchase any of the Duck Commander products. I do understand the actual duck calls are good, but can't speak from actual experience.

I think Phil's beliefs are far from what you stated "Phil would prefer we all lived under sharia law".
You might want to look that up yourself just what sharia law is.

His are not Islamic or Muslin, but are Christian views...... big difference.
:hatsoff:

OMFG ! I just had the best idea ever.

I want 5% of all the profits from this ok. Someone call the producers of the Kardashians and the producers of the Duck rednecks and make them do a duet on tv !

The Kardashians meet the Ducks ! LOL

Brings those fat ass's to the swamp and cross bread a new race hahaha. Sorry if I am mean. Its the craft beer I swear

Sounds like there are a couple of the guys in this thread that might want a Kardashian branded rear bumper to match their duck dynassty tires.

Never worry about getting rear ended again with all that cushion.

Then again, you'd have Kanye lurking around the back of your 4Runner... probably not worth rear collision insurance.

Nope she does not watch these shows...we tried to watch DD and could not take anymore after three or four episodes.

We cannot stomach shows that sheds our state in a poor light. The ass clown show that shoot gators, can't recall the name of th show, pure ass clowns.

And while I am on a rant, the most stupid movie and with the biggest unrealistic portrayal of our state, The Big Easy with Dennis Quaid...

When I watch DD or any of the other shows, 1) I know the shows are for entertainment and that "reality TV" is not real. 2) Any generalizations or assumptions I make are to the characters on the shows, not their state or region. In no way, do I think everyone in Louisiana goes around shooting gators, talking Cajun, wearing camo and bandanas, etc. Not everyone in KY or VA is a moonshiner... maybe.

But there is a small segment in every region who's lifestyle is so different that it can carry a TV show... moonshiners, gold and gem miners, etc. For the vast majority of us punching a clock or reading our TPS reports from our cubicles, these shows offer a laugh, an escape of lifestyle and/or the "what if?" of "why can't I do something like that and get rich?" Sadly, the more time spent watching other people's "reality" on TV is usually to the detriment of our own.

I want to tell you a story, will make it short. I live in SE Louisiana, on what we call the northshore, Slidell LA area. My wife and I went on a swamp tour last year for our anniversary, like we need a swamp tour, but there were people on our tour from Nevada, Arizona and other states that were convinced they were going to see people running through the swamps with snakes in their hands and wresting alligators, I am not kidding, my wife was very nervous, knowing that would set me off, but I kept my cool and told them in a nice way. That crap you see on TV, DD, Troy Landry is all bull crap. They even asked me how to stay away from the alligators when they go downtown New Orleans. I promise you I am not kidding, this really happened.

Every state has their idiots, sometimes they make it on tv, sometimes they travel to other states.
